I got hit square in the nuts one time, while jumping a wake on a seadoo. Knocked me right off the ski and I spent the rest of the weekend on the couch.

Gelcoat / Paint / Fireberglass Repair / Re: Front Bulkhead....
« on: February 27, 2008, 01:09:44 PM »
My Bahner had a removable upolstered bulkhead. It is not going back in. The deck has a center support running the lenght of the deck. I'm not too worried about it.

My old Challenger had about 400hp and no stringer issues.
There is another guy out where we are with about 500hp seeing 75-80 without any problems.

Boat Showcase / Re: Blower motor
« on: February 20, 2008, 12:43:56 PM »
Blower surge on a carbed engine = poor tuning. The only real reason you should be surging with a carb is to save your transmission/outdrive etc with mega horsepower when putting it in gear. At least that's how it's been explained to me by some very reputable engine builders.

I actually took the video in the first posts. I checked on you tube the other day and was amazed at how many views it had!
This motor was built and tuned by George at Clay Smith for my father in law. It is now in a Daytona seeing low 90's with no problems... still surging. I have heard mixed opinions on this and will continue to trust the builder.

My new sled the day I picked it up. Haven't had it on the water yet. A leaky valve cover turned ioto a complete freshening and some other goodies...

Also... Brad, I need some CF numbers and maybe some lettering for a name. 2 maybe 3 colors... Guestimate?

^^^ Like I said, I don't know the history of the boat. It was bought as a texas tunnel and is being sold as a texas tunnel. I have spoken with several people who also have Texas Tunnels, on paper, and the general concensus seems to be it is a Texas Tunnel.

Do you have a pic of the the plate that says it's a texas tunnell?

I don't belive there is any type of serial # printed in the glass or any plate. I don't know much history of the hull, but I believe it began life as a race hull way back when, without ever having registering ect. in mind. I will investigate closer.
