SoCal Lakes / Re: Elsinore Labor Day Weekend Roll Call 8/30-9/1
« on: September 01, 2014, 06:21:06 PM »
We were having a great time until Saturday afternoon the Armenians moved in next to, on top of, and all through our camp site!! Dogs everywhere...then came the techno music and the town drunk and his side kick that peddle their bicycles over to party at the camp site, bum booze, and hit on the married Armenian chicks....thank God for my squeezy plugs I had in my hunting vest under my back seat, other wise I would have got into a fight for sure!  No more tent camping for this family...
Oh, and now I know why everyone pulls their boats and wipes them down...the algy was unreal on my boat this morning!!!

This was a great way to start off my Friday morning!  Exotic dancers, strippers, hookers, they're all one click shy of each other, the only difference is how much cash you throw at them...

Hey PSD, we did drop under the clouds this morning...pulled the kid on a tube for a bit, the sun came out and it was a beautiful day...we stayed right until 3 when the wind picked up...

Found out I can blow a tank of fuel pulling a tube very easy!

only saw two other jets out and they were both at the docks.

Going to tow the kids around the lake Saturday 4/12 at Perris.  We tried last weekend at Elsinore and found out  you can't tow inflatables...tiny, tiny blurb on their regs.  Fu*kers!

See ya on the water!

Fun day on the lake, no smell, glass off stayed until maybe 1030'ish...maaaaybe a dozen boats on the water.

Met some cool people, found Coors Cove, ended up going to dinner with a cmayer & family + another group.  Talked about our next adventures....good times.

Oh yeah, sucked up my first rock...did a trailer / ramp fix....I will never fire up again unless I do the scientific oar/dip depth finder....then we found out you can't tow tubes at Elsinore....the kid was bummed.

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Gauge Set Up
« on: April 02, 2014, 09:58:02 PM »
Ok,  since my RPM's peak and hold at 6k, and the fuel was wrong (ran out last weekend), I assume all the gauges are wrong.

Can you guys help me get in the ball park on what are normal limits for a stock Ford 460..water temp, oil pressure, etc...

Thanks.

Got a week at Havasu book already...Prob going to hit Elsinore or Parris in the next couple weeks....got an oil leak to work out....

Ok, so I have an A-Frame and shop to work out of....should I just snatch out the motor and seal it up?

Can you get a ticket if you have some oil problems on the water?

Mom, I am the new guy so don't take my word, however, everyone we ran into was amazed at how high the water was...did see one sand bar just north of Fisher's right before the big rock on the left...if you stay way right you would miss it.  tons of crap floating, lots of reeds.

Where can I get a good boat cover?? Wally World has cheap ones...do they weather well?  Would rather throw my cash at something that will last and protect my boat.

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Manual
« on: April 01, 2014, 07:38:01 PM »
So I found a manual for a 77 Ford pickup at the local Autozone...is that my best bet for specs on my Ford 460?

Are there marine manuals, or high performance manuals suggested from some of you older jet captains?
