Reply to my E-mail so that I can send photos, I have many including the inside of the pump.  SS Impeller, loader, shoe, machining, droop, diverter, wedges. Intake has a pressure gauge. Ride plate and cav. plates.  Bottom has been done and speed coated.  Dick vale paint job is good condition. Floors are very good. Boat was completly rewired last year.  I also plumbed in a water pressure releif valve for the engine "in"and the intercooler "in".  I am able to run full volume on the motor and maintain pressures under 15 psi.  All plumbing is SS.  Trailer is nice.

I had some jet guys are telling me that the water out of the pump is twisting under a fast pass, say they have never seen this before. Any ideas on whats going on? 12JG, droop, MPD worked.

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: 427 ???
« on: August 15, 2008, 07:43:29 AM »
Cool, Will pull a cover this weekend.
Yep, 744 on dyno with the new smaller cam.  My new 540 on the 944hp pulley is spining the same pump to 6700 rpm.
It's an MPD pump. Im hitting the rev at launch or when hitting it at mid rpm at so I need to have it worked on before installing the 1012 hp pulley.
Runnerbottom, T-deck, not a sprint. seller says it's a 5/8 but l haven't measured it.
 Thanks Paul.

Cool! I thought that the 427 was a rare combo. what kind of rpm's were they good to?  any markings on the BB heads that identifies them? A really nice runnin' little motor.

I've got a fresh 454 .30 over with a 671 that spun my AA berkley to 6000 rpm. and dyno'ed to 7000 @ 744HP with room to go. I'm thinking that it will run nice in a V-drive.

Thanks for the site, I'll check it out.

Yea, What I was hoping to find was #'s to determine if this were a factory 427.  Then I could find the internal parts and hp info.

Hey HD, what gears, prop, hp, speeds are you runnin'  I would really like something to compare to.  V-drives are Bitchen!  I cruise at 1800 rpm / 25 mph.  4500 rpm / 59 mph.  Wide open I dont know yet, I have both hands full and blurry vision! can't see the GPS.

Just picked up this Hondo for my Dad. Pretty fast and alot of fun!  Supposed to be a 427 but there are no #'s on the block in front of the head.  Are there any other visual indicators?

Thanks
