I had some jet guys are telling me that the water out of the pump is twisting under a fast pass, say they have never seen this before. Any ideas on whats going on? 12JG, droop, MPD worked.

We see that all of the time on the fabricated snoots, kinda cool, the vanes inside a "G" bowl are about two inches shorter than that of a "C", (also called the stator) when the water leaves a fabbed snoot there's nothing to stop the rotation, doesn't hurt the top end I don't believe, but does seem to make the boat a little more "loose" sort of like driving in sand.

You can really see this if you run in really shallow water and pull a little mud off the bottom, looks like a swirled ice cream cone

Old school engineering for you.  We saw the same thing back in the day.  We thought that water swirling was not going in the direction we wanted it to go.  We ended up sharpening and cupping the stator vanes with a dye grinder and lake tested it, back and forth until the water was straight.  Took a hell of a lot of work, little if any gain since we did not have GPS or accelerometer then to test, but we accomplished what we set out to do.

Don't put your helmet back there then. Unless you don't mind a little mud on the helmet.
