He said it was his son-in-law's(original owner) and he didnt want it anymore....near perfect shape,all it needed was a throttle lever(broke)but run's perfect.My girlfriend won the 2000 World Jetski Finals on a superjet... I have TONS of bolt on parts and carbon fiber hoods, impellers carbs...So much shit that I have stored for too long!So anyway I went and got it last week and brought it home....he had taken all the factory sticker's(logo's) off of it.So I wasnt really sure what it was. Found out it was actually a Yamaha,I thought it was gonna be one of those Lil' 550 jet ski's,but when I went to the local Yamaha dealer to order the throttle I brought the Vin# with me..the guy ran it to order the part and he told me that it wasnt just a "550 Jetski"..it is actually what they call a 1996 Yamaha "Superjet 701"....I guess it's a 700cc with twin carbs...supposed to be pretty fast?
Anybody know anything about 'em??? I saw a couple on e-bay and their askin 'tween $1800 and $2200...
Might just clean it up,sell it,my boat and by a BIGGER BOAT!
