For sale is my Sanger Mini day cruiser.

429 ford (bored out to a 440 which is .060 over)
engine has about 4 hours on it
pump is freshly rebuild and only has about 4 hours on it
new battery (maybe a week old now)
all new cables
all new guages and wiring
gel has some scratches and a few other blemishes
upholestry is in good shape
the only thing that isnt new is the upholestry and gel coat
has a full stereo system (JL 12" sub powered by a JL amp and 2 6x9's and 2 6 1/2's also powered by a JL amp)
Place diverter
Ran at 62mph on gps (you could probably advance the timing some more and the carb could be leaned out quite a bit to pick up a     few more mph's)

Any other questions feel free to ask.

$6500 firm. Or trade for a v-drive.  I will send only serious inquiries pics.

Chebby beat up Ford ;D

2sav..........shit starter :'(

I think what he was saying was that the chevy didnt have a thing in it that was actually chevy but the ford used a ford block and crank to make killer power.   :banghead:

Im not sure if i remember right but i dont think the one next to the timing chain cover has any pressure going to. Is it possible to put in a "T" in the rear where the original sending unit is?

so my pump is being set back about 8" when ever they decide to finish  :banghead: what would be my best option then

Man are you still focking around with Mark and those crackheads he has working for him?  I went in there the other day and the guy is a total dick!  I saw your pump sitting on a shelf collecting dust.

A lot depends on the location of where you are selling it.

So the lifter problem was actually a weak spring problem.

It's more amazing that a front sump pan didn't give you any problems in a jet boat.

I have ran and still running a front sump pan for 2 years now and have never ever ever had any problems with oiling, ever.  Everyone thinks they need a high volume pump when in most cases its not needed at all.

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Lifter ??'s
« on: May 17, 2008, 09:22:38 AM »
I was running my boat yesterday on the river and cruising around 3500 rpm.  All of a sudden I had this loud ticking so I shut it down.  It sounded to me like a lifter or something collapsed and not a rod knocking around because it was a light ticking.  Then the ticking stopped but the engine had a miss to it at high rpm kinda like a cylinder wasnt functioning right.  So I went out this morning to investigate further. I fired it up and no ticking.  Still has that little bit of a miss in it but it runs smooth.  Took the valve covers off.  Everything is tight.  Ran it with the valve covers off for a few seconds and everything looks good and getting oil to all rockers.  Is it possible that a hydraulic lifter has partially collapsed or anything like that.  What are all of you people's opinions on what this sounds like to you?  Thanks Ryan

« on: May 12, 2008, 08:40:43 PM »
ok broke in the new cam today!!!  ran it between 1500 and 2000 for 15 minutes.  no wierd sounds afterwards, sounds as tight was when i put it together.  used the comp cams break in additive.  machine shop owner said that stuff is pretty much zinc in a bottle and to run it or something like it in every oil change.
