Launched from Fisher's this afternoon and went for a ride. Tested out the new silencers I got from Jet Boat Performance. They worked great. I could actually carry on a conversation with my gf while we were going along. I also didn't have to shut down every time I need to talk to her when at idle! I can't wait to get some new seats though. Those summit seats are harsh lol. Might go back out tomorrow. If not, for sure next weekend!!! See ya out there!!!

I agree, hot boat mag used to be great in the late 70's/early 80's. I think it was named drag boat or something like that. But they had more river and lake boats. Now it seems like they're targeting the offshore crowd.

Cabela's had a sale on Sharkskin, so I bought a white sharkskin bimini from them. $231.14 with tax & shipping. Not too bad, local places here wanted over $300!!!

That's insane. You had to drive from Yuma to San Diego so they could look at your vehicle in order for them to cover your loss?

That's why I ended up going with Amica. But the price difference was worth the gas, just would have had to take a day off work to go get it done. They have changed by now, but that was their policy back then to inspect every vehicle before they would insure you.

when I said non-oe parts, I meant cheapo fenders and other crappy aftermarket stock replacement parts. Wawanesa would replace anything that was on the car if it was on there when they inspected it. Had to drive to San Diego for inspection though.

It was kinda windy but we went anyway. Had a blast. River was way up, even silicone beach was underwater. We went up as far as Picacho looking for a sandbar with no luck. Finally parked on the edge of the reeds on a spot that is normally beach area. Water was freezing. Can't wait for it to warm up. Boat ran pretty good, still have a little pop/hesitation whenever I romp on it.

Also look into Wawanesa and Amica. They're both really good companies geared towards people with good driving records and no claims history. They save advertisement money and pass on savings to you. Was with Amica for a while but had fender bender (forgot to set brake and 94 stang rolled into minivan bumper at post office. minor dimple in plastic bumper cover and owner found body shop to run up $700 estimate!!!) and speeding ticket in one month, had to get cheapo insurance to survive rate increase. Wawanesa was who body shop manager recommended since they always paid claims fast and refused to pay for non-oe parts!

Planning to launch from Squaw and head up to either the sand bar before Fisher's or into Ferguson Saturday afternoon. Maybe see some of you out there. Can't miss my boat, white with goofy blue Summit racing plastic seats. Wish they were solid so I could just trim them down die grinder lol.

I used to sell magnaflow too and I loved their mufflers, but their cat backs sucked. Definitely not bolt in!!! always had to bend stuff to make them fit right. So just because it's expensive doesn't mean its great. MAC builds a great product for the price and their fit is spot on. I've run nothing but MAC on last three Mustangs and truck. My last Mustang (an 01) was dyno'd at JBA's dyno in San Diego and they were genuinely impressed by the 20rwhp I picked up with just an intake & throttle body from MAC. I eventualy put on MAC ProChamber and 2 1/2" cat back and was smokin Bullits and stayin even with Z28's. Not bad for less than a grand improvements on a car 5 grand less than the Z. I'm not trying to say MAC is the greatest thing since sliced bread, but they do make a good product with dyno sheets to prove it. By the way, does anyone know about the lawsuit against Flowmaster? Seems they were being sued for false advertisement since the only place they're mufflers made horsepower was on their dyno lol.

Just got pics from MAC on new headers for the Ram 1500 Hemi. They're ceramic coated and are a 3/4 length header and will come with a starter pipe for the Y pipe. They will be a bolt in installation with the exception of having to cut and weld the Y pipe. They retail for $459.50 and I will sell them for $425 plus shipping. They will be available as soon as MAC has enough orders to make a production run, so it could be a couple of weeks before you get them. If anyone is interested pm me.
