If the carb hasn't been touched, it probably has size 80 main and secondary jets and a 6.5 power valve. You should probably change to at least a 5.5 power valve. They only come in 1/2 sizes. (4.5, 5.5, 6.5, etc.)
As far as jetting goes, run what's in it and check the color of your plugs. If they show a medium brown color it's good. If they're light gray or white, too lean. If they're black, too rich. You get the gist.

Rebuilding the ol' electric jet o vator trim adjust. New cable, motor, cleaned and lubed. Hopefully have a nice roost this summer for the first time in a long time.

How many of you use the gasket between the transom and plate? Is it better to throw it in the trash and just use silicone?
Also the last guy that rebuilt my pump didn't use the o ring between the bowl and transom plate. He just stuffed it with silicone. It never leaked but was a bitch to remove.
Thoughts?

Looks like an 850 marine because of the fuel pump vent tube on the side. The marine 750 and smaller doesn't have the vent tube.

Over the weekend had to gravel the rv access cause the local code enforcement are a bunch of nazis.
Then was able to install a Holly 750 I picked up from Steveo from the forum (solid sale, carb was as advertised and works great) clean old gas out of tanks washed and detailed the interior.

Usually only the edges of the floor are fiberglassed to the hull.
If the floor is in good shape, I would just lightly sand it to get the old glue and resin off, then mix a new batch of resin (epoxy and hardener) then spred it out over the floor with a plastic squeegie or a foam roller and let it set. If you want multiple coats, wait until it gets tacky before you add another coat.
Some people glass the entire floor but it adds weight and makes it more difficult to remove the floor later.

You can but them from overtons or west marine. Just measure the boat and buy the one that fits.

All good points. Especially the part about getting caught up in rough water. In fact when I pulled my carpet up, I looked under the bow and all of the fiberglass that tabs the floor to the hull was cracked. I'm sure this is from years of rough water in havasu.
I was contemplating doing the 4 point mounts since my engine is out but I have no idea how difficult (or easy) it is to install them.
I'm guessing that aligning the crank and pump would be the most important part but do you need some kind of jig to do that??

Hey all. Found this boat on the list. It says 88 Eliminator 19 jet. Has eliminator HIN. It looks exactly like a Spectra 19. Did eliminator use the spectra mold. Whats the deal with this anyone know? Thinking about hitting the guy up. I know its rough but if i can get it cheap it would be a cool project. Especially if its the same hull as the spectra 19.
