Engine Mechanical / Electrical / BBC Engine build...what to buy?

hey guys im building a BBC for a 75 Tahiti hull with a panther jet. im very new to the jet boat world so i figure yall could help me out.

I have the block already. 4 bolt main. i have both a short deck and a tall deck block so i can use either. my question foryou guys is what type of parts should i use?? i have built a few engines for cars and i race a 70 camaro with a BBC pushin about 680hp. i know that auto and marine engines are different so thats why i ask. I want to be sure i get the correct stuff and get good stuff to build a good reliable engine. i would like to see speeds close to/in the 60mph range if possible..

thanks guys, the boat has a fresh rebuild on both the engine and pump. only 10 hours on both since fresh. so thats good news. the boat was his second boat and it set in his garage alot and didnt get any use. he loved it and took amazing care of it. like i said. garage kept only.

im definatly lucky to get such a nice boat for my first but he cut me such a great deal on it i had to take it. my friend here in town has a hondo and we are going to be doing some serious boating next season so im exited to meet some of you guys along the way.

any info you can give me is greatly apreciated. thanks guys

Boat Showcase / New to the board, heres what im rockin

hey guys, im new to the board and actually new to boating. this is my first boat, although i have been boating with friends for years this is the first one i can call my own. its a 81 Bahner with a ford 460 and a berkely pump.

im looking forward to the next season of boating for sure. i picked this thing up a little late in the season so im definatly looking forward to a full season next year.

here are a few pics for you guys to check out...tell me what ya think!!
