well after 2 weeks of applying paint stripper, scraping ,washing and sanding we are down to the original gel coat, snot green.next tear out the carpet which is glued in with some kind of construction adhesive then on to primer and blocking Engine block going to machine shop tomorrow for whatever is needed have new cam, lifters ,valve springs and such for rebuild. waiting to see what size bearings and rings I need

looks great i wish i was as far along asyou 

just looking for fun and reliable at this point . we tore it apart and it is all super clean inside except the #2 intake lifter is worn to a cup and the others are all flat with not even scuff marks from the cam lobes the push rods roll straight on a flat cast iron surface any ideas??? cylinder walls  all show no wear. I want to check the bearing clearances and read in another thread that jet boats need more clearance what kind of number should I be looking for. and is plastigauge the right way to do it
