Still say bah humbug there Ralph, with all do respect I, as well as many other people in this once great country, am only a few paychecks away from being in a food line, I have made a few mistakes here and there and had things happen in the family that no one would have guessed, but given some of the things that people bigger than I have done to jack things up, I will sit here and marinate in some self pity until that big ball drops and I can somewhat start over...Maybe in mind only, but its all I got right now... :banghead:

I have put a lot of sweat into barely surviving, I have never been nor ever want to be again in a situation so bleak...

If it wasn't for you guys taking me out of reality once in a while, things would be even more grimm..

I love you man  ;D

2009 sucked so bad, I could write a book and it would probably sell, just can't type worth a sh!t until 2010.. :sly:

GT, I understand more than you think. I have eaten in a soup line and lived under a bridge, as well as worked in a soup line every sunday for 6 months. Times are tough and shit happens, we call it life and as humans we pick ourselves up and keep moving, or, we end up under the bridge and in the soup line.

hope 2010 is better than 09. to me its just another day.

Ralph, I feel for you bro, I will say this, you turned out just fine my man, I want to wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and a Great New Year, but I will save ours for next year...I will have a better outlook on life in 9 little insugnifigant days... Maybe 10 depending on how much New Years Cheer I consume, I am not an alchohlic, I just play one on the internet...

It is difficult to live with two clinically depressed people in the same house...Everything brings you a little down..Don't mind me, We are going to be a force to be recond with next year...

If this is true, you really need to see a professional and get on some meds. There's no reason to live your life in a fog when you don't have to.

Thank you Skip...

It's really appreciated.

For the record, the meds made things pretty much worse, my son is the one I'm worried about, he has the self esteam of a person without a soul...My wife has been depressed for 10 years, she has Celiac disease and had to change her diet to a gluten free one (it's OK fellas, I had no idea what it was either), the difference is spooky..

Not to make the thread go in more of a bizzare direction, but it is more common than chrones and Shingles, but three times more common, the most underdiagnosed disease out there...

Unfortunately, now that she feels better health wise, she can't find work..... :screwy:  Just a viscous circle

I really am trying not to have the pity party, but holy crap.... ???

GT-

Don't give up on the meds, it took me about 10 years of trial and error to find the right combo, and it's been wonderful since I have. I'm serious about this. You should also give Tools to Life a try, it's made a big difference in my life. I'm here if you need to talk.

I agree. 2009 was a mixed year for me. Not as good as 2008, fantastic year until the end, but in 2009 I found out I love boats and I met all you fine people! Regardless of all the other BS going on in my life, I got reconnected with my kids, and found joy in what was really important. The boats, with you guys' help were a key ingredient to that.

I also can relate with Brad. My commitments to myself for 2010 are pretty much the same thing, just not so eloquantly put.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! And Thanks for a great 2009! Here's to a better 2010!

Ray

PS, My kids were great this year! When they found out about the puppy, their Xmas lists went from 2 pages to just 3 or 4 things immediately! I guess it was a good year for them to realize the important things as well. They wish all of you a Happy Holiday season as well, and too many names were mentioned to name here.
