thats what im talkin about! now come do my dash too!
Your is already done, I saw the pictures.  ;)

;) The back side is all glassed in, just some trimming left to do.  It cost me one t shirt and some hair (fu##### resin) but its done. now I just need to do some filling and smoothing on the front.

Just so you all know, this is the worst job I have ever done !!  I had resin running down my arms and all over everything ,  What a mess !!  Next time I'll flip the boat to do a dash !!   No, on second thought,  I will never do this again !!!!

::)  Look whos talking !!  If you spent half as much time on your boat as you do on here you would have had a finished boat 3 projects ago.  ;) ;D

Dash wood glassed in, and one layer of glass on the back  :P.  And just for you Ralph I'm going to go back out and put another layer on it so its done tonight  ;).

« on: June 03, 2008, 07:27:09 PM »
Try to borrow one to see if it fits (when you can put the pump back in the boat), there might be a problem with the height of the bowl.  Because of the Berk intake and Jacuzzi pump the bowl might be at a different height than normal for either transome adapter.  :-\

Not a thread jack, just a question.  Will this type of system work with wet headers or will it cause milkshake oil ?  I hate that oily film around the breathers after a hard run.

Just a thought, but would a Berk or Dominator transome adapter fit on a Jacuzzi bowl ?  You could always grind the name off.   ???

How did I miss this thread ?  That is an awsome looking paint job HDrider, I love it !!

 Thanks for the link crewchief.

Yea that looks like a Berk intake,  But it dont look like a Berk pump  ???

The problem I see would be with a Berk intake you would need to use a loader for a Berk. And with a Jacuzzi pump on there I'm not sure that will work.  ??? ??? ???  Wheres Tom or Josh ?

Hmmm, This dosn't sound good.  I think we need to see some pics !  The parts are, the intake ( the piece that bolts to the bottom of the hull )  The suction housing ( forward part of the pump that curves from the intake to the bowl) , the bowl, the transome adapter (trim ring that goes around the bowl and mounts to the transome (back of the boat) ), then the steering nozzel. Thats the basic version  ;) .  If you are sure you have a Berk intake than I dont think a Jacuzzi loader grate will work. Also you should look up inside the intake, if I remember right the WJ is smaller and shaped different than a Berk and there might be some ugly misalignment issues in there (bad for water flow).
IMO, If its a berk intake, get a berk jet.

Dont worry, the real experts should be here in the am to help figure this out  :sly: .

Ok , first part of the mystery solved.  Now what do you mean you have a berkley hull assembly  ??? , do you mean the transome adapter (the trim ring around the bowl) ?

Thanks to Billy / ironman I got some work done today, he came over and made me get off the couch  :-\

The dash needed some help !!  It was set up for center steering, and when I removed the alum pannel I could tell it would never be strong enough to survive.  With the original holes and the last set of holes the dash looked like swiss cheese  :banghead: .   So out came the power tools  >:D .   I cut the glass from the back, and removed the old wood (not fun) while Billy and Mark / Sanger Pete supervised. After a few hours of cutting and hammering and sanding the dash wood was gone and it was ready for the new wood.  I cut and trimmed a piece of scrap wood I got from my neighbor (the wood worker) .  Than I went to get the glass matt and resin and remembered I used all the matt on the bulkhead  :banghead: .   Oh well, done for the day, but ready for the next day  ;) .

The swiss cheese dash, and the new wood

 The old stuff

::) Here we go again !!  These Chevy guys  :screwy:, I just dont understand why when your trying to talk about performance thay always have to bring up gass mileage.  Maybe its because thay have no performance  :-\ .  another example = http://www.socaljetboats.com/index.php?topic=1946.msg25352#msg25352

I can say mines gone that far O0

You dont count, you have more than one motor. Thats cheating  ;D
