I'm so there! Don't know which boat will make it, but we always have two running boats (Kind of an unspoken rule), let me know if any help is needed in the planning, not sure what I can do but I'm not totally worthless, (at least thats what my mom keeps telling me) ???

Well hell, you're in Morgan Hill, that's just a hop skip & jump from San Antonio, I say you go there and pick out the real estate for the weekend  ;D

Serioiusly, if we can get some people motivated, this could be  a GREAT Labor Day weekend, perfect end to the summer.

I can do that, you guys like north or south shore? I think north is better for groups but I dunno ??? probably should figure it out pretty soon though right?

San Antonio res. is about an hour and a half haul from my driveway, so big hop, big skip, but small jump... ;D

Lemme know!

I like the South Shore, there's a great group campground called Harris Creek A Loop, it's got like 26 sites, 2 bathrooms with showers, it's close to a launch ramp. I know a LOT of folks like the North Shore, I'm not real into it b/c I like tress and shit when I camp, and I'm not taking the trailer, just a tent and the boat.

We need to get a solid head count of who's going and see what the majority says.

The NS is pretty flat, no trees, kind of barren
The SS is pretty, Harris Creek has oak trees, grass, all kinds of cool naturey shit

All kinds of cool naturey shit?, dude, that sounds like the place! ;D I've got a little motorhome that we use, so whatever "floats your boat" (heehee).

Might be interested in this since never been there.  Usually head to the river this weekend but the last few times have been a bust.  Problem so far with going to SA is we dont have any camping gear and we have a few mini-weenie dogs we always bring.

Are their names "Hot link and Frank"?  ;D j/k, may be able to scare up some extra gear if you can make it, I use a little MH but have tents and crap out the Wazoo! (not literally).

As far as cooking and stuff, bring some food and we'll just make a bigger fire in the bbq.

Sounds good.  We can probably get some stuff from family members.  Are there showers available.  WOuld hate to go a few days without being able to get the sunblock off.  Might even check out some hotels in Paso and make the drive in everyday.

That's one of the reasons I vote for the South Shore, nice campgrounds, trees, naturey shit, and SHOWERS/restroom buildings scattered about, I've got a tent you're more than welcome to, the dogs can kick it in the trailer if it gets too hot or whatever.

We need to get a head count on this.

Water level shouldn't be too bad, Tom (JBP) would know for sure, in fact I think he was just up there a couple weeks ago. ;)

Even with a low level it won't be a problem.

Trust me, you could have an ocean liner and not need to worry about the water level, it's a lake, it's deep, your O/B will be just fine.

Right there with ya, 454/Bravo I and it draws like 30" of water....the water is pretty deep and the shore is easy to "read".

We're there !! Just trying to pick a boat out that matches my swim trunks  ;D ;D

PS havent been to South shore in eternity (and don't mind) BUT  at  North you shore camp (and day camp) and leave the boat in at nite (safe secure and right in front of your rig too) We have had events weith as many as 75 boats and campers in one cove . Not sure you can do this at S/shore also more flat beaches and less rules
