I got this one. Has been perfect cover for my 20ft Baker. It even covers the pump. I was super impressed considering the price.

I'm planning to go to Ford Duraspark. Re-curved for my motor. MSD uses Duraspark internals. Paul Kane recommended.

Made it to sand bar and 2 speed runs till it died. Hoping to go back next weekend. Tunnel rides a lot smoother than V hull especially crossing wakes.

Boat ran great. Got it up to 65mph on GPS. Then it just died. Lost ignition. Had to get towed in. Got home and found loose wire on the coil. Tightened it down and engine fired up. Feel dumb but glad it was easy fix.

Motor and gauges are in. Still need to re-install dash switches, steering, and fuel fills. Then I can install interior. I also need to figure out why my starboard side fuel pick up is not working. Hopefully it's just clogged and not broken. I'm taking a break today to go pick up my son in SD (home from deployment!) for the weekend. I'll post pics when it's all done.

I actually made my own wire harness for  my engine and I'm in the process of re-wiring the rest of the boat. I found it to be cheaper and if you h e the patients I think it comes out better.
that looks great! I definitely want to do my own harness.

Mcmaster will have everything you need. You can get pre-tinned as well. Good stuff, good prices, fast shipping.
TJ, do they have automotive/ marine wire? What did you use?

I'm planning to re-wire my boat next winter, where should I go to get the wire? I know Hardin still makes harnesses, but I want to build a custom harness.
Thanks,
Sam

So my buddy finally gets a day off to go pick up my stuff (and his) at the polisher and nothing has been polished. He told us a couple of weeks ago that everything was done. On top of that several parts for my buddy's 55 Chevy Pickup are missing!!! Needless to say, if it would have been in USA, I would have been bailing my bro out of jail. Unfortunately, he was able to calm himself enough to get out of there without knocking the polisher out simply because he didn't want to go to Mexican jail. So I put the fugly intake on my motor and I will slap the droop (factory powder white) on and call it close enough for government work. I will pick up my new PD nozzle from powder coat tomorrow, sand and buff clear and then all I will be waiting for is the fuel fills I bought from Recycle Performance. Got a smoking deal on NOS fuel fills ($29 each), they only had red and gold available at that price so I went with red. I figure I'll powder coat them to match later. Besides red is usually color for gasoline lol.

Engines / Engine Parts For Sale / Iron CJ 429/460 Intake
« on: May 01, 2013, 11:25:06 AM »
Iron Cobra Jet intake for Ford 429 or 460. Has the usual corrosion, machined surfaces are in good shape. This is a great intake, it rates higher than several aluminum intakes in performance. I'm replacing it with a polished aluminum intake otherwise I would probably have run this till I built my stroker motor. $70 or trade for ?
Pick up at lower river. Delivery to San Diego , Los Angeles, or Phoenix areas for fuel cost negotiable.

Lol. If it was 3 or 4 inches difference,  I could make it work,  but 2 feet is too much.

Unfortunately,  I can't use them on my boat. My transom is curved sharply on the corners.
