I pulled mine tonight. I used a sanded down flat head (no rough edges) started from the back. I put a back under the back for a little pressure and put the flat head in the front and popped it off pretty painless. just my method

pulled the pump tonight to check how the impeller looks, and replace the intake seal. anybody have any input on tightening back down the pump? or gasket choice.
