Update !!   The glue is all off the floor.  ;D ;D  I hate carpet glue/contact cement  !!!  This was a horrible job (removeing it), the glue was at least 1/4 in thick in places and buried under what I think was a layer of ruberized undercoating :screwy:.  There is still some left on the sides but that wont take long to get off  ::).

Its dusty but its makeing progress , I think .

I'm still undecided about what to do with the floors  :-\ .  Some parts look ok and other parts look cloudy (thick layers of glass  ??? )  and the whole thing shows shiney strands of glass when you get it wet in the sun .   :(

Propless...  Looking back at your thread, I see you have about as much room to work as I do.   :screwy:
LOL , Yea and now there are three boats here  :banghead: One in the garage and two on the side of the house (Oh yea, plus the one I stored at my moms house  ::)).  Help I'm a boataholic !!!

Back to the floor,  FORKEDUP are you going to try to replace the entire floor or just the bad part ?   I only ask because it looks like it would be hard to do the whole thing because of the suport legs for the dash.  :-\

Take a skill saw right up the center , cut it and then you just have to peel back the wood on both sides. Get you a grinder and clean it all up......

Really not a big deal , but being the first it is always the scariest :o Dont wanna fug nothin up ;)

And wear a mask , there is nasty shit in there!!!!!
2sav
Thats how I did mine too , just set the blade depth the same as the thickness of the floor so you dont cut into the cross braces or into the hull.  ;)  I cut across the floor so it came up in small pieces  ;D

That has to be better than having one knee in your chin and the other waaaayyy over there. I don't know, maybe not. I still can't bend my knee far enough to sit in the thing more than a couple of seconds. I have no idea what I'm going to do when the boat is water ready and I can't sit in it.  :banghead:  Maybe drive the thing with my left leg laying on the bow.  :screwy:
Been there done that, when i broke my ankle skiing (rested the cast on the deck and went back next the weekend ) .   ;D ;D

Looking at your pics it looks like your boat has false floors from the tunnels to the outside , or I'm seeing it wrong  ??? .   If it does maybe you could remove them to make more leg room  :-\ .

You don't sit "in" this boat, you sit "on" this boat, and although the picture probably doesn't show my point, it does show where the driver's right foot sits, where the driver's left foot sits, and more importantly the uncomfortable difference between the two. I have no idea what to do about it because I never go anywhere and see how other tunnels are rigged.
Rod , heres a pic of mine , its not much better (to high).  There has to be a better way  ??? .

Shootin' for Parker.

Looks good Rod , and yea it does seam kinda slow around here. :sly:   Hope you make it to Parker , looks like I'm going to run out of time  :( .  GO team sanford !!!  ;D

I can't wait until next year when I chop about 9 inches off of the pod.  >:D
Why  ??? ??? , dosnt the pod do the same thing as a set back pump?  And you want to move it forward ?  ??? ???

I just got up in the attic / secret storage, and looked at the sand rail seats I have.  hhmmm, the foam is on the covers.  Maybe thay do it that way on the sand toys so you can remove the covers and wash out all the dirt / sand without getting the foam wet  :-\

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: Truck problems ?
« on: April 17, 2008, 04:50:44 PM »
Thanks , but I got it going  ::) .  You can all call me a dumb ass, it was the coil.  It showad spark but it wasnt enough to jump the gap from the rotor to the cap.  I put in a new coil and it fired right up :-[ .  Drove it around the block and it runs good again.  I guess I was VERRY lucky I made it home from L.A. a few weeks ago.

btw, Its a good thing I have more than one vehicle, last night the smog pump on the mustang locked-up in the driveway on my way home . So, the truck and the car were both broken  :banghead:. I had to drag out the motorcycle to gather parts today  ;D .  Now everything works again, and I needed a day of tinkering in the garage anyway (therapy) . And it gave me a reason to play sick from work today  ;D .

Now back to the boats  >:D

   HELP
My truck Is acting up again , wont start  .  Its an 89 Chevy 3500 / 454 .  I have fuel flow at the injectors.  No spark at the plugs, It has spark on the coil wire so I changed the cap and rotor, still nothing on the plug wires  ??? , WTF !!!  .  I did have to change the dist about a year ago because it broke the trigger thing for the computer .  Could it be the dist again ?  I was thinking maybe its fireing the coil when the rotor is not lined up with anything.  Everything looks ok in the dist (no broken parts this time) ???  And Yes the dist is turning  ::). Or maybe the computer  ??? .  Im lost on this one now  :-[
