It's kinda funny that the only lake in the whole southwest part of the U.S. with a dedicated Speed Zone and no one will use it.  On a January day it is just as likely to be as smooth as the cove.   Instead a bunch of knuckleheads will try to be Ricky Racer for a day while kinda forgetting the whole reason for being there.  Somebody is going to get hurt one of these years.

But if they go to the speed zone all the people in the cove won't be able to see them and they won't look cool duh.....and you won't be able to hear the wake boat racers radios all the way over there either.

So I have been really thinking about selling my K5, it's an 88 TBI 350/700r4. Trucks by far not the prettiest but it's got 145-150 in every hole, trans hasn't givin me any problems other than the seal between it and the transfer case which has been replaced and the transfer case was rebuilt while I had it off. The rear and front axles have been gone through and had new axle seals and pinion seals put on and other than the typical light seepage from the valve covers and a leaky power steering box it doesn't leak any fluids and the power steering box will be replaced here pretty soon. Right after I bought the truck in may I put on a new water pump, power steering pump, had the radiator flushed, replaced the belts and hoses and thermostat. Also a new set of plugs, wires, cap and rotor. And replaced all the fluids.Then I put on a Gibson cat back exhaust and new front rotors and pads and some new warn premium manual hubs. I fixed all the dash gauges and lights and replaced the tps, map and water temp sensor because my mileage was going to hell.. Truck passed smog with no issues prior to doing all the work so I have no doubt it wouldn't pass again and it runs great. Replaced the factory radio with a retro replacement, looks original but has aux for mp3 or phone and outputs for amps. Has new 4" kenwood speakers in the dash and 2 6x9's I'm the back. Been to Vegas twice on turn around trips for work and never had an issue. Interior is decent but not great, cracked dash pad as usual, blue vynle seats, front 2 need to have the bottoms re done, manual door locks, windows and rear window. Has a set of 35x12.5x15 bfg at's that were put on maybe 2 months ago and don't have mor than 600 miles on them. It's my daily driver, about 20 miles a day round trip and I really enjoy the truck but I'm thinking I want to turbo ls 6.0/4l80 swap my chevelle and daily drive it. The big block in it makes it hard on the wallet. So I'd like to get $4000 for the truck. That's  pretty close to what I have in it in parts and the cost of the truck when I bought it. 951544zero346, these are the only pics I have on my phone, I can take more of specific areas if wanted and will post more tonight.

I'm sorry for your loss, I know how it feels not being able to tell them you love them for the last time and it's hard. I'll be including you and your family in my prayers. You made a hard decision for her well being and don't second guess it ever.

It's part of life and just keep in mind she's In a better place now.

I told my wife I wanted a boat one night while we were getting ready for bed, she said no....to which I replied well that sucks because I brought one home. She laughed and thought I was kidding. The next morning she was leaving and saw the kona. And that's how I got my old kona lol.

I told my wife one morning I was gonna go look at a k5, she said don't waste your time. I said ok. I drove a k5 home that night.

If it's something small like parts, as long as I have had it for more than 24 hours without her finding out well then I have always had it.


The best way to explain buying toys to a woman is this, she buys make up to make herself look good amongst other women right? And that's a monthly investment. You buy toys to make you look good amongst other men, it's just a 1 time lump sum instead of monthly dues. AAAAAAAnnnnnddddd it's something the whole family gets to enjoy.   Bam.


And that's why I get away with everything.

I'm not gonna bear around the bush here, either your truck runs like crap or your an a$$ hole and after reading some of your posts it's seems your trucks fine.


Do the diesel community a favor, sell your truck, buy a ford ranger with a dirt bike permanently mounted in the bed and move on. And don't forget the flat bill hat.
