My neighbor (across the street) had the same problems with the hmong family (about 10 of them in that house) that lives behind him. Chickens, a rooster, a small farm, even a pig
, than thay called the police because my neighbors dog was barking at them . He made a few calls to the city and now we all dont have to hear that fuc#### rooster every morning . Farm animals in city limits 1779

I think what you did (the slow cure) is a good thing . I read somewere (when doing mine) that doing this lets the resin to soak into the wood better and gives you a stronger finished product . If it cures to fast it wont bond well to the wood and might delaminate later. Not sure on this, just what I heard.

« on: December 19, 2007, 09:09:56 PM »Engine out and on stand (not has bad as the "Raspberry"); I put on hold until can afford parts (which is why I haven't been on the site recently; just depresses me); I plan on being in the water come spring (we hope).
As best I can tell, I need: 8-10qt pan, piston/rod, turn/spin/grind/round the crank, oversize bearings.
The rod also busted the starter when it came thru the pan, but I already have another starter.
Well at least you have a starter

the worst one i have been on is screamandfly and they dont like you unless you an outboard guy and they totally diss on jets even though they have a jet and v-drive section can't get questions answered and there solution to everything is seal the transom up and put a ob on itThay dont like anybody (screamandfly) !!! Even when I asked a question about my OB over there , the great tech wisdom thay provided was " get a manual " . Thay must be a bunch of bitches over there because every one knows real men dont need a fuc#### manual

Good choice to not go with the T ram. Mine lost 100 rpm with the ram ( single carb ) . 5400 = dual plane / 5300 = T ram . Like Ralph said, try to set you timing at about 36 total than see what it is at idle. Carb should be fine if it now flows 780cfm , but what intake are you running ? If its the basic Edl Performer that might be a problem. I've heard the factory cast iron marine ( CJ ) intake flows better than the Performer. You might want to look at a Performer RPM or a Weiland Stealth intake, both good intakes.

I'm haveing a strange problem
I have a Holly blue fuel pump with a seperate press regulator set at 5 psi. When I turn it on it will hold 5 psi (on the gauge) for about 2 min, than you can hear the sound of the pump change and it pegs the gauge to over 10 psi (the gauge only reads up to 10). If I switch it off and back on it goes back to 5 and starts all over again . I tried clearing the regulator (sprayed it with carb cleaner), no change
Its plumbed like this, tanks - switching valve - pump - filter/water seperator - regulator - motor. The regulator is also Holly and looks like a T, inlet on the bottom - adjuster on top - left side out to motor - right side to gauge . Is this right ?
