HOLY SHIT :o
if you have never taken the msd ready to run dizzy apart and  changed the advance bushing inside then you are running 41* total, and i think that is a bit high. i think you should try a total of 35/36 total.

Thanks Ralph... Had the Dist and carb set up by C&J in Whittier so not real up on what they did. sure made my boat a turnkey boat tho. Im thinkin that I may be under carbed, and definitely not timed right. I need to change it to about 28 29 or so and take it to smellsomemore and test it and see what happpens

Like Ralph said, try to set you timing at about 36 total than see what it is at idle.  Carb should be fine if it now flows 780cfm , but what intake are you running ?  If its the basic Edl Performer that might be a problem.  I've heard the factory cast iron marine ( CJ ) intake flows better than the Performer. You might want to look at a Performer RPM or a Weiland Stealth intake, both good intakes.

Good choice to not go with the T ram.  Mine lost 100 rpm with the ram ( single carb ) .  5400 = dual plane / 5300 = T ram .  Might be different with duel carbs or some more carb tunning, but to cold for that now.  Here is some more info on this subject .  http://www.hotboat.com/forums/showthread.php?t=168917   :(
