I do have a diverter and had the pump gone thru to a stage 2, so am I to understand that if im not into full blown racin I dont need a ride plate or droop, and just leave it the way it is? I have a few buddies that have jet boats and we have our little friendly rivaleries at the river Racin each other on occasion. Just tryin to one up them while its cold time here in sunny socal. Been a Park Moabi guy since the late 70's. My pump is a 12JC with an A impeller. The last time I gps the boat I was at 65 mph @ about 4300 rpm and I know I was way off on the timing had it set at about 19. So anywhose I probably got ya all spinin with my back and forthness. just tryin to get a clue as to whats up. Thanks all Mark
65 MPH sounds pretty good for 4300 RPM . My opinion has always been that all the bolt on goodies will get you more MPH. As to how much , well who knows .
we'll say for the sake of arguement :
Used brekeley split bowl $300 (before someone goes in and cleans it up)
Used Droop snoot $150
Wedges $60
Once you dial it all in (and this is just a stab in the dark) 3 mph , could be more , could be less , could not gain you anything , who knows . Anyways , that was just in purchases dont forget some new gaskets and seal when you stick the new bowl on there and not to mention you have to pay someone to make sure it's gonna fit . Its a toss up but there is alot of potential with all this hardware. They dont make this shit for no reason .
As for a ride plate , another great piece of tuning hardware. As far as I know is great for adding stability at high speed and with diffrent shoes could also help in some more MPH . All this stuff has infinite adjustability . I just hope I'm not leading you down the wrong path and hopefully someone will chime in with some added info or just straighten us out on all this .
Motor wise , how are you lookin . Logs , headers , Manifold , carb , ignition . With your numbers , it looks like pump might not be whats holding you up .
