The reason your MPG sucks is because you have the Edge programmer. sure the black smoke looks cool when  you step on it but black smoke also eqauls wasted fuel. I have the same set up on my 6.0 with the Superchips flashpak and I couldn't be happeir. with 37's I was getting 14 in town and 18 on nthe hwy. Not to mention that it is fast and doens't drop all the fuel that should be being burnt. Another thing you have to worry about with programmers like the juice is that D.O.T. CHP is cracking down on diesels. There are some welders out here where I work that have strait exhasut set ups that like to dump the smoke. One got pulled over for having a strait pipe and had to have it towed from the grapevine back home. The black smoke is what got him flagged.

I have a good stereo guy that was telling me if it is a closed bow with a small entrance. Like on a 18-19ft. Jet boat you can actually build a box to spec which in return let you use the front of the hull as a port like in a large band pass box. Making a 10 sound like a 15. less power, selfcontained box, super sound. If that is your set up. If not I would run the self contained box but m ake sure that the air off the speaker has something to reflect off of if it is in a sealed box. only way your going to get a good sound. Had two 12's in a full convertable blazer that sounded like 6x9's when the top was off. Or you could always use a bandpass box and face it almost anyway you would like. A little bit bigger of a set up but will be self contained. use it self to produce noise and wont rattle the crap out of your boat. At least shouldn't anyways.

So I purchased a new intake last week. When I went to put it on I pulled the valve covers off and found a broken Rocker Arm Stud, broken push rod, bent push rod and broken lifter. Needless to say i have been running all seven cylinders lately. LOL So now it is time to overhaul the engine. Hell it is only money right. If anyone has rocker arm stud girdles I am looking for a set. Till next time.

If it is an electric fuel pump pull the fuel line off the carb and just turn it on into a bucket or something. change the filters do it again with some more fuel and add one more set of filters, I would think you would be good after that. If it is manual do the same thing but use a pump to suck it out.

if it is pipe thread just buy a nipple and a T-Valve from your local hardware store. 90 off the T-valve and add a hose.
