There's quite a few "Eastsiders" from Phoenix going there I know. Dunno if I'm gonna do it yet or not, they're trying to shame me into it. I tend to avoid the big Holiday Weekends. Bad experiences on the Lakes last year with that, lol. I think I'll just enjoy some sodas by the pool and a bar-b-que.

down at the avi last october i seen the most amazing specticle of people in the water grabbing boats and walking them on trailers, really cool to see! and it went fast! there was probably 10 boats to get loaded all at the same time

X3! There musta been 8 people constantly in the water just pulling boats onto trailers that day! Kindof a similar scene launching and loading boats at Big River last June. (Thanks Boost!  )

Hence why I dislike HEI units. Hopefully all runs well and the pump is fine. It seems to be, still holds pressure just fine. We'll see what it does under load........

Well, as an update. Pulled and drained both tanks. Had them pressure checked, they're OK. Pressure checked tohe pickup tubes and all fuel lines, they're fine. Replaced the faulty filler neck hoses that were a serious gas leak on the port side.

Shoulda taken a pic of all the oil that was under the rotor in the ignition. Changed out the cap/coil/rotor (HEI unit), and dizzy was full of oil! Cleaned it all out, coil looked pretty bad. Is there oil in these HEI coils? If so, problem I think found, if not, Hello new dizzy!!

Starts up and runs much better than it did. We'll find out this weekend if the problem is solved. I'm leaving the old pump in place, bringing the new one along JIC, but I don't think that's the issue.

Anyone got a good BBC Unilite?

well today sucked ass. my boss decided it was a good day to tell me im working saturday... Iv'e been looking forward to this trip since it first popped up.  unless something drastic changes im out. Depends on the boat. my 18 footer, no problems with that. My 20 footer, I could probably sink it by just doing a hard turn from low/mid speed while mashing the throttle. Have to be VERY careful with that one coming into the beach! Just watch behind you a few times. Higher freeboard is your friend in this instance.

It is WAY overkill but I got a smokin deal on it and the other battery I was looking at was an Optima at 200 bucks.

I'd Listen to GT. Put a New Battery in Moo when I put it all back together in Feb, last year, at Big River, June, battery was crap. Pulled one of the batteries out of my F350 (Probably similar to what you bought), Ran and started fine all weekend, but I was nervous about the cables catching fire under hard cranking (Moo isn't the easiest to turn over at 11.5:1). I remember my Dad nearly burning up his Astro Van jump starting it from his dozer battery once.

She got the Optima Bluetop right after that, couldn't be happier so far!

Other side of the same coin, got a Duralast that came with Pickle that has yet to let me down. Put it on the charger before we leave, and it always shows full charge! Damn thing needs a battery tray though......This boat seems to have NOT been designed as a lake boat as more and more of these lil things click together.......

LOL! The 5 wires going to one terminal would indicate i was probably right. That would be all the lights, The middle two are power feed (1 coming in, the other off to feed something else), the black wire for the running lights probably

I say Probably, I would test that black wire and see if it's live when you switch on the ignition. If it is, That's your feed and all the other wires are simply the lights. Hookem up in whatever order you want on the last two terminals. But I would stay with the way it's supposed to be.........
