Could be a hot fuel problem, thats why a fuel return system eliminates these problems. Much easier on the pump or pumps keep a constant fuel pressure and cool.

Please explain this. I have been thinking the same thing since I bought the freakin boat. The pump runs constantly. Waiting on carpet, so tanks are still out and there are two plugged up bungs on the top front of the tanks. I already put a couple AN fittings in them (They will be needed for the Sewer Pickles new engine eventually as return lines). I suppose I could just rig them as return lines now instead of a really long balance line.

This is a Finney splash guard. Nice stuff. If they don't have it already, they'll look at your boat and pattern one for ya. Includes windsheilds, skylights, whatever.

Last time I saw one up close that was installed, it had a relay wired in with it, but I dont have a relay in my wiring so I wanted to make sure it was correct. Dont want to fry the pump and create another issue for myself

I'm bringing my 13 and 15 year olds, I think Keith is bringing his 13 year old. Haven't heard if Jimmy's bringing his 13 year old or not, but yeah, there'll be kids there. My 13 year old will want to ride with Crewcheif, probably, and my 15 year old will ride with Rivertard mostly I think, lol. Last I heard Nick was out, so his son won't be there, and I don't think Ralph is coming with his lil girl.

On the brighter side, we have Jimmy, who is like a 6 year old, Rivertard and Hallett Dave, juries still out on their actual ages, but they'll fit right in there somewhere, and between the rest of the listed group, I think your son will be entertained enough.....Bring him!!!

i am debating leaving thursday evening or early friday morning.

I should be there around 7-8 ish pm on Friday. Leaving after the kids get out of school. I think Rivertard and crew are leaving VERY early Friday morning, but don't know when they'll get there. I beleive Crewcheif, Driver and protige are arriving about the same time I am.

Tanks are not vented, only through the caps. Ran the boat with flip tops open.....same issue, lol. No grounds either, but no sending units in them either. Very small tanks too, only 10 gallons each. Strange boat. Almost seems it was intended as a race hull, they didn't make it very long, and it is pretty light.

We'll see what Tuesdays or Sundays tests bring with it, lol, I really wanna bring it to Blythe!

I'm by no means an expert when it come to Marine Applications, But I'll chime in because I'm bored.

My experience with street engines showed me how Forged pistons expanded a tad more at temp than cast ones did, being much denser, forcing a slight overhone to compensate and cold piston slap was pretty normal. Didn't have the "Hyper" dealios back in those days, so not even real sure what they even are. My best guess is a form of heat treating and coating a cast piston to simulate true forged pistons and a lesser cost. I just use forged, and will continue to do so regardless of application.

Given our marine applications, save for closed systems, but for our sake, we NEVER see "Normal" operating temperatures, which would throw the normal equations for street use out the window. So I think, maybe, where Dave is headed is on the expansion characteristics of cast aluminum vs. forged aluminum, and how the "Hypers" inadvertently hinder themselves trying to be one but made from another. I have a metalurgical explanation in my lil brain, but it'd take me an hour to explain it.

oh no it wont even be close! there is alot of fast boats, and even then there is always someone that is faster! i am still using the tahiti hull so no real performance there 

I think the rest of us have a serious challenge ahead to keep up with Boost, Marcsrollin and Just Electric anyway...... But I know I'm gonna hafta get a serious tune on Moo and a new mill in the Sewer Pickle to keep up with you.......
