I can't believe it hasn't sold yet...If I was in California, that boat would be sitting in my driveway.. :) nice float man, hope it sells quickly for ya!

There is always a reason. We have a ton of awesome boats for sale in so cal right now and he is farrrrr from civilization. I'm sure the first person willing to take the drive/chance will bring it home. Just needs more pics to convince people.

I drove 200 miles for my CVX-23. It helped that it had a twin-turbo 400 SBC in it to entice me lol.

Welcome to the site Texan. Nice to see another Glastron-Carlson owner on here. I thought I was the only one in a CVX.

Jet Pumps / Re: Fuel usage

All depends on your engine/jet/hull. My Hallett 23ft with a mild 460 and Berkeley JC with a place Diverter did remarkably well. 3 days in Parker on 32 gallons. Never did laps at Elsinore but still. A 350 I/O will get better mileage but a jet system when set up right with a BBC or BBF is not terrible.

The No Wake Zone / What did you do to your boat today?

I had a grand old time pulling off my turbos and cleaning them out after the damn sand storm I was caught in on my way home.

You're the guy that beat me to it!! Fucker! Lol. Good find. Surprised it was for sale for so long. I hesitated. I was gonna fix that on the boat too. My guess is he had it rigged all wrong. I'd go electro-hydraulic my previous boat had it and it is well worth it!!!

What motor are you running? IDAs are actually overkill on 90% of projects. On a sand car you want a progressive carb not a full bore dragster carb like IDAs.

Hulls / Re: How are the 70s Biesemeyer Hulls???
« on: January 29, 2014, 11:17:57 AM »

I have a 73 cruiser that I was able to trace back to rusty in Phoenix.  It has the double step in it an have seen boats similar to mine but a few yeats newer like taylor an eliminator but both boats were early 80's. My boats a tank good an bad lol, I have a 455 pretty stock great for hauling people an everything else an tubing. Good family boat. They ride super smooth an break chop really well. Hope that helps or have any other questions let me know.

Nice float! The one I'm looking at has pretty nice interior and the driveline is fresh. I will post pics when I go check her out. I miss my boat!

Hulls / Re: How are the 70s Biesemeyer Hulls???
« on: January 29, 2014, 11:16:53 AM »

Which hull are you referring to.
The Biesemeyer "day cruiser" was splashed by several other shops so it is possible that they never even touched the cruisers.
I don't know that for sure but with all the mold swapping that was going on, someone else could very easily have been building them.

-beerjet-

It's a 76. Has a nice size wave breaker in the front compared to other 70s day cruisers I've seen. So I'm not sure how it goes with all the hull switching. But that's a good question I can't answer. I'm gonna have to just go into and inspect it well. But as long as it's a Biesemeyer sounds like I'm ok. 👍👍 thanks guys.

Hulls / Re: How are the 70s Biesemeyer Hulls???

I was asking general out of the factory quality. Boat itself has been well taken care of. Very well. I'm just trying to
Find out more about the company. But so far I've heard good things about the factory build spec of these boats. Mostly looking for a boat to load up with people, beer and maybe a few tube pulls. Just a good ol' float. It's got fresh 460 with <60 hours and a JC Berk with about the same. Nothing crazy in the motor just a simple cam.

That's why I was hoping to hear. Jut didn't know much about them. My horns are still green in this world of 70s boats.

Sold my 77 Hallett a couple months ago for a HUGE profit thinking the money made would help me cope. Well... It didn't. I regret getting rid of it!! I've had my eye on a few day cruiser projects/complete boats. How are the 70s Biesemeyer boats?? I don't know much about them...

How much for the sand rail no motor ?

Sent from my iPhone using SoCalJetBoats

That is the price he is asking for it with no motor. 3250. Kinda steep for what it is but it's desert season, you get what you can!

Just apply for a lost title. Or title renewal with the bill of sale. Really it's your fault for not getting a title at the time of purchase. But you a lot if options as long as you have a bill of same. I used to purchase lost title/out if state stuff a lot because it was so much cheaper.

I think he was just trying to prove a point that this guy is out of his mind if he thinks he can get his hands on a 8-12 thousand dollar boat for 4k.
