Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Engine temp
« on: July 20, 2009, 11:04:52 PM »
My engine is running to cold. I put a new temp guage and sender it will only get up to 110 or so.didn't trust old one. I don't have a therostat. The hot water out of the block comes out of the water pump bypass on the intake then to my logs. Can I put a valve in the discharge line and slow the flow to bring the temp up or would it build up to much pressure? Any ideas?

I am a coal miner/welder at an open pit mine.  Use to be a pipeliner but hated being away from my family. Shift work sucks but its a job. We got some pretty cool haul trucks and shovels.. I only take my boat out two or three times a whole summer......

The only reason the BBC became the engine it is to day IS because of Smokey Yunik. Ford and Chevys have all had there glory days. I run a 390 ford people laugh at me but with the right amout of work it would get er done. Speed is money how fast you want to go depends on your check book. just my 2 cents....

Hulls / Re: Flat bottom, V hull jets
« on: January 01, 2009, 06:56:25 PM »
I have ridden in one my dad has a 18 ft aqua craft flat bottom. Hard on the back but it will fly. My question is does a jet pump work better in a v hull than a flat bottom.

How come most jets I see have a v hull is it for the jet ? Are the jets not suited for flatbottoms? I have seen a few but not many..

The charing system quit so I had to give him a pull in. His boat is faster but mine ran fine all day. I will never let him live it down. I have some old school pictures of my dads boat can I post them even though its a v-drive?
