G, They're just yours. I got no use for 'em, might as well do someone some good!

PM me an addie, I'll take em off the logs and ship 'em  ;) . The logs are BBF, so no good for you?? Be awhile before I'm in SoCal I think. This is my busy season!

LOL on the Center risers! I just had an EVIL thought was all, maybe put BBC's in the twin jet???, Didn't think I'd EVER find a set of 'em for a BBC, let alone 2 sets, then get rid of the BBF center risers...... change mounts,

But you GO GIRL! I think we got the twin BBF dealio in hand on this thing!

LOL I guess he plans for me to get lost! This thing is the size of a globe! At least 6" in diameter.

Mead, I can see it coming in handy, River? or these local lakes? lmao..... :screwy:

Gonna put it on the thing tho! Apparently came from it!

You run that thing HARD too though Tony, I'd probably spend a little more and get some better hardware in that top end.  Just my .02

Sounds awfully cheap, but might be cutting you a lot of slack since he's built it before.......and before......and........ ;D

WOW! OK, Trash this hull, put all this stuff into Moo!.........I got another T/R and a few carbs around..... :screwy:

Jeezuz that thing looks scarey! Diggin how he did the controls tho!

Ray

Dug through all the stuff sorting out what's going to A&D, what I got to deal with, clean up around Moo so I can get her out! Barricaded the poor thing!

One nice surprise! 16 of 'em.....With the cams and intakes, Somone was planning a lil more HP thatn I was!  ;D

Kinda cool, the Bennett hydraulic trim tabs. Look more like cookie sheets to me.

The Pumps appear to me to have already been done! I ain't no expert, PO said his uncle had them done, but couldn't swear by that.

Depends on the deal. Check Summit for what the stuff goes for new, figure the carbs probably need a total rebuild, cost of the linkages, go from there. Weiands a very good tunnel! Probably work tits on your ride! Don't get the guys started on Vac vs Mech secondaries, etc.........whole 'nother argument there....... ::)

Good to know. I thought I may have fucked up somehow. Now I'll put the wheel on and call that problem done.

  Same problem on Pickle when I had to change out helms for the new cable. Looks fine to me! My gap is bigger'n that!

Yeah, that's Pickle! Gotta finish up the gel restore and wax on that and post pics! Nordie got me turned on to how to polish the thing out! New boat has me pre-occupied, lol.

Boat MAY be for sale soon, we'll see. Hate to do it, it is VERY unique and original.

Bud of mine in HS used to have  a straight axle '65 Coronet, looked a lot like that one! His had a 440 with '62 426 Max Wedge heads, cross ram intake, etc.

Fun Car! He drove it on the street like that from time to time.

I just want to see twin rooster tails! I think it will look cooler than that youtube boat cause they're more spread out.. Isnt that why everyone build jets?! Its the rooster factor!

Well, could be! I dunno. As a kid I remember Unc's Sidewinder able to pin our lil heads against the swim rails in the back jump seats!

We'll see where the speed comes in on this, for now, yes, it will have MONSTER roost, it HAS too! Kinda like a fluffer that doesn't put out, makes no sense. It's not gonna have much else goin for it!

I'll start postin pics of it's progress tomorow. I been working on the logistics of getting what MAJOR Mechanical compenents where they need to be right now, and underway! THIS WILL FLOAT THIS YEAR! I made the commitment to Father's day, and I stand behind that right now!

Twin steering can't be any worse than my Pickle was! With the new steering, WHOA! a lil too easy. Doesn't have the little set screw know on it to increase the tension either. We're going dual cables, short and simple.

The F/R levers are dual, but can be operated with one hand. They also control both throttles at the same time. Cool how they work, but going to take some getting used to. Neutrel is idle, FWD open the buckets, and runs the throttle from there. Same with REV, but closes the buckets first. Getting the cables adjusted to the click stops will be fun, seeing how it has to happen on the water, as it's the only way to find true neutral on any jet setup.

Then there's the switches for the hydraulic trim tabs and diverters...... >:D

Ride requests will abound, I'm sure......... Tearing into finishing the transom tonight and tomorrow, Hopefully have the floor stringers and floors in by next weekend. Dunno if I should just start another thread on this or not! We've kinda convoluted this one, lol. (Brad?)

I wouldnt do the system where you have 1 cable controlling both nozzles that are linked together via tie bar....stick with the dual rack system and run 2 cables....this way you have a backup if one fails. the other way you are screwed if the one fails.....and if the tie  bar fails, it could get REAL ugly REAL quick

I agree. Part of the charm of this deal is if one engine/jet/nozzle/whatever fails, they can be run independantly to get ya home,  ;)

yeah that one doesnt even scare me...bolt up 2 rack n pinions, and adjust adjust adjust....thats a pretty sweet helm...hopefully there is a part number so you can get a new one if not...i wouldnt really sweat it...two new racks, and you should be gtg

Thought so on the Pickle too! Good thing Tom sent a new helm! New teleflex racks don't fit these old buggers! Bolt pattern and spacing diffferent. Kinda like putting old Pinto wheels on a Corvette.

Spacing on this helm IS the same as the new helm and cable I put on the Pickle, so might be ok!
