Ok, my lathe was down at the shop and the boat was here at the house, so it took a few days to get it shaved down to the proper specs overall I ended up with about .038-.040. between the stuffer and the impeller Here are the progress pics.
First I tore it down, plugged the holes in the stuffer that originally fastened into the oil resevoir drilled and tapped the bowl for mounting it on the bowl housing,
Then I put some putty where the surfaces come together to check tollarances,
Next I re-installed the bowl, tightened it up, pulled it back apart, measured the thickness of the putty, when I got it right, I started re-assembly.
Got everything polished back up and re-set the ride plate @ 2* up and Wala.....all I need now is my motor

I've seen Pink Floyd back in '94. Robert Plant, Steve Miller, Santana, and The Allman Brothers numerous times at the Santa Barbara County Bowl. Which in my opinion the best place to see a concert!

« on: February 22, 2008, 04:28:14 PM »I just called the Boat rental shop at the lake, and they told me the meeting is going to be at Nordoff high school March 5th. @ 5:30 If all the lakes are following, we should get as many people together and show up in force.
From what the guy told me at the bait shop, they are inspecting for any wet spots (bilges, holding tanks, ballasts, lures, even leaves ??) I can't believe they are putting so much effort and money into shutting down the lakes. If they would put as much time and money into finding a way to kill them without hurting anything else (reproductive sumpthin-sumpthin) with todays technology, wiping out some mussels oughta be a piece of cake. But mussels cant fight attorneys so where is the profit in that. I just wish these people trying to shut everything down would just find something better to do than take-take-take, Hell they oughta make them worth money, tell everyone they taste like chicken, and then you couldn't find one to save your ass.

I'm really bummed that I didn't jump on that late 70's Brendella with the rail kit. But now that I have my tax $$$ I'm looking for a nice little project boat. Must have Berkeley Pump!
