When kids are in my boat, they ARE wearing their jackets, so I keep 4 of those ugly ass orange ones up front on the foam. Just for extras. The throwable I usually keep on the passenger side front floor, easy to get to, and easy on the feet of whoever is sitting shotgun. The fire exstingusher is on the stringer, the paddle is on the floor or up front on the foam. The ice chest for the boat sodas in between the seats. What else do ya need? Oh crap I keep forgeting about a horn or whistle of some sort, then I be totaly legal
