Time to buy a carburetor bud..

You don't want any of that crap breaking loose and pluggin up a main jet while running it hard, it will lean it out enough to cause some serious engine damage.
Someone at some point before you probably over soaked that carburetor in either caustic cleaner or an acid bath. Those Holleys are anodized and it looks like it was damaged in a cleaning process and delaminating.

Yeah thats what I was thinking too. Only thing is, I tore the carb down last season and it was fine, I never soak the carbs just a quick spray down and dry off with aerosol, and the carb looked fine at that time.Do you think it could be gas causing this? I know that Ca, is adding ethanol to our gas now and I know that it murfs up fuel systems... Either way I know what I have to do now. Thanks for the help GT
