Looks like Home Depot did a dept reset and Ray jacked all the slat wall and pegs!

Uh HUH!!!! Pops always said, there's style, but then there's style where it costs you nuttin!  He helped me put that much of it up when they were here a month or so ago (Mom was NOT impressed by the blower on the kitchen counter! lol  :screwy:)

Love the fruit in the Beer thing! When it's brought to me that way (some of you have witnessed this), I throw the lime, orange (Blue Moon) back at the waitress! Always order no fruit. If Beer cannot stand alone, then  it needs to go away.

The Lime in the Corona comes from Mexico not disinfecting the bottles and rubbing a lime around the rim killed any bacteria from the acids. These days, not necessary here in the states, but obviously, the wanna be beer companies (Blue Moon.......) think it's kindof a cool thing.

THAT is INSANE! Why is it all the nutcases, no offense to you guys, you are all OK, in politics come from Cali?

I mean think about it, Reagan was a nut case when it came to economics as well, soooooo........why does Cali have the most restrictive gun laws????????????

Ray

Edit, FWIW, is it NOT against Federal law for a state to institute new taxes on previously tax exempt payroll deductions on approved retirement programs???

that swim step saw more pue tang than a whore house

That it has! But only after the headers have cooled! I do love the outboard hand hole though, 'tis a shame about the loader bearings! I thought I could make a contender out of the thing!

I say you bring the cow boat down to see what it really does

I'm with you! Would be nice to see some formal verification on it! My GPS is apparently broken, according to Beerjet, even though it's OK in the truck, lol. Gotta negotiate with the kids on it. But I think I'll win!  ;)

Nordie? Nate (s)? whatcha think?  Which boat?

LOL! No It hasn't been decided Glenn! I've heard nothing from the panel I randomly recruited on this.

They may be rebelling, or not happy with my choices. I figured I'd give it time and go from there, lol. Maybe now's the time!

Offers still good gang! Panel, I think a memorial plaque would be in order for this, lol. Makes it even more interesting to me since Glasscutter's comment on the "uglier shade of green" comment ( Just kidding John, was funny as CHIT).

So maybe extend it to New Years? Decide New years day or the day after? Might get some interesting stuff 'tween now and then.

Ray

And I KNOW why you came back to this, you helped name "Udder Nonsense" you prick, lol.

not only did berkely set a presidence on how to make a jet-pump they also had to set a presidence on what not to do with a pump hence the je....e meaning error....with that being said there is no loader bearing avail for the je

Error or not, was enough to own YOUR a$$ at 3/4 throttle and still keep up with Skip and crew!

I guess if no loader bearings are available for the JE then I shouldn't even bother putting a loader on huh?

Yes, Boost, I DID manage to get Tommy to put together a diverter for the JE, wasn't easy, and he said he had to call in the Army Corps of Engineers and a few calls to NASA to do it though. It isn't a split bowl, unless it's broken, and according to LuckyStiff, looks a LOT like a mere swim step.........

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: anybody try a ebay 460 motor
« on: December 23, 2009, 10:33:34 PM »
Generally, not a good idea. I would, personally, PM Dave at A&D (enginedoctor on here), Paul (Lakesonly on here), or Barry (Obnoxious001 on here). If you don't have a machine shop or assembler locally you can trust (Sounds like you don't), these are people you CAN. Ebay, well, kinda like russian roulette IMO. Deals CAN be had, I've scored a couple, but you have to be on your toes and ask a LOT of pertinent questions.

Any of the above three will save you some serious money and can probably use your existing engine as a platform. In the end, you'll have a quality result they will stand behind, and probably a lot cheaper than the Ebay guys.

Think about this for a minute though. All the local shops I deal with don't use Craig's list, or rarely do,  or Ebay (At all!). They are so busy they cannot handle the volume that might entail, and are not interested in being bigger. If a shop is using Ebay, well, I would figure where they are. If like LA, NY, NJ, or any other major metro center, I would steer clear. They've likely already killed their home crowd and are looking for new victims!

Just my .02

Still working out my logistics! We'll make it, but looks like we gotta leave Saturday Night,  :banghead: As it stands right now anyway..... Reservations made though! Wanted to bring Moo, but I think I more wanna make Glasscutter vomit by bringing the Green one, sounds like more fun!  ;D

Ray

(Seats available here too Boost, no shortage of 'em from what I'm seeing!)

Also, does the JE pump require the Shims installing the loader bearing?

Ray its your turn for the mohowk and paint it depot orange ;D

LOL! Yeah right!

Funny story! The kids first met Nordie at Temple Bar in March, and were a little intimidated by the looks of this guy, lol. First night in the motel room, Becca says, he looks really scarey but he's really nice....., RJ says he looks like a guy on his "san andreas game"  ;D

Next time they saw him was at the AVI in October, bald, and at first, Becca said, "That ain't Uncle Nordie, where's his hair????" Lol. She quickly realized it was him and she was OK after that!

The No Wake Zone / Re: christmas
« on: December 23, 2009, 09:30:21 PM »
I agree. 2009 was a mixed year for me. Not as good as 2008, fantastic year until the end, but in 2009 I found out I love boats and I met all you fine people! Regardless of all the other BS going on in my life, I got reconnected with my kids, and found joy in what was really important. The boats, with you guys' help were a key ingredient to that.

I also can relate with Brad. My commitments to myself for 2010 are pretty much the same thing, just not so eloquantly put.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! And Thanks for a great 2009! Here's to a better 2010!

Ray

PS, My kids were great this year! When they found out about the puppy, their Xmas lists went from 2 pages to just 3 or 4 things immediately! I guess it was a good year for them to realize the important things as well. They wish all of you a Happy Holiday season as well, and too many names were mentioned to name here.

Performance and top speed will suffer severely with the 650.  Even with a mild build you will gain by going to an 800cfm carb.

Mild Build 460? 850 CFM, IMO. A performance build, best be looking at BIG Dom's or dual carbs. Just my .02

Built many engines years ago, never seen anything want airflow like the 460 before! (I run twin 750 vac secondaries, FWIW)

This is judgemental on where you plan to run the throttle, mind you.
