Oh, the fishing is fine there.. Your actually fishing on or right next to the dock where I park my boat! Your lucky you didnt get any 2 headed or 8 eyed fish tho! That waters radioactive with the "tiny" sewer leaks. Im just lookin for good deals right now.. Looking for turn key. I can handle shitty paint but she has to be reliable. Havnt really set a budget until my boat or Rhino sales. Thanks for the info, its a real clean boat for 2500 running with that jet. I was drawn to it cause the bbc mostly though.

Ok, Thanks. Im more than happy with 60 for now. I just like the look of the jet boats and how you can beach em without worry about skags and props. I usually go to bass lake. Its under 10 minutes from my house. If I actually want to try and go fast I hit up redinger. I lived in shaver for work this summer, Ill deff. be going up there alot more, beautiful lake with good fishing. Unlike basslake, Id actually eat the fish I caught there! Non-septic fish!

I got it yesterday.. Id suggest atleast 2 people if you can find one. Me being currently out of work cause the weather.. did it while everyone I know was at work.. Losers. I used an old garage and used a chain comealong from the rafters for the front and lifted it from the ceiling. The rear was where I needed the extra eyes cause as I was pulling the trailer out the cherry picker was lifting in the rear and lowered the boat back to the trailer. Every 3 feet Id have to get out and roll the cherry picker forward. I was deff. cussing lifting my truck at the point. Thanks for the tips guys!

It has a Fireball Racing +6 kit, CDI box, Black plastics, rearview mirror, 5 point harnesses, 27x12x12 Bighorn tires, 12inch ITP wheels, extra set of wheels and tires, two brothers dual exhaust, and Im sure Im forgetting somthing. Any questions? Im asking 10k, maybe cash and trade for something I cant live without. [attach=

Thanks! I think I can get er now. How strong are the metal eyes in the front? Im a bit oakie and was wondering if I could lift the front end from a tree and the back with a cherry picker then just pull straight out? The jack idea will work if I have to, but the only place I can set the boat wont be pavement or concrete. I would launch in in basslake but I have a few days of work to do and dont trust some of these mountain tweakers.. Different breed of weirdo for sure.

The paint is like that on both sides of the engine conpartment. The guy before me ran dry headers before the logs and melted the paint and a bunch of wire loom.. Talk about a mess to get melted plastic off of everything. Im not sure what to ask yet.. I think 8 would be steep because the gel isnt in the best shape. Maybe 5?

Hey, Im sure this has been asked 100 times, but I searched and didnt really find an answer that I could use. I need to do some work to my trailer, and cant figure out how to get it out from under the boat. I dont have any ceiling beams to lift from, and I dont know anyone with an empty trailer to swamp the boat onto. I only have one cherry picker. Is that my best bet? Borrow one for the nose and then set the boat down on some tires?

Boats For Sale / 1965 Howard
« on: January 28, 2010, 11:41:34 PM »
Hey there, Iv been reading the forums for awhile now, Helped me alot in buying a boat! Now its time to sale my 65 Howard VDrive. I was wondering what you guys think I should ask for it? It has a Ford 390 FE with a casale. Seats were recently redone, but the gel coat has some scratches and rub marks from a dock. Boat ran great last summer, I just finally talked my dad into saleing me his Hondo. Dont need 2 flattys! From what I was told the motors stock. Trailers a dual axle and stout built. Doubt its the one the boat came with. Any help would be greatly appreciated! http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii136/coltschlumbohm/GetAttachment.jpg
