The No Wake Zone / Oh Sh*t handle
« on: March 07, 2014, 03:58:10 AM »
Should I be thinking of putting some sort of oh sh*t handle for my passenger? I was thinking of something mounted to the stringer. Mainly for shut down to keep them in the seat. I never really thought about it since I have the wheel to hold on too. I don't find myself in the pass seat too often.

Wow!!! That bums me out to have a business in the city I live in be involved this BS. Being a small town you can all but guarantee that place is done. On the bright side it looks like the victim  will be able to get his boat put back together. I'm sure with the help from the  good people on this site it shouldn't take too long. I'm here in Havasu if I can do anything to help let me know.

Jet Pumps / Re: Setting Berkeley pump
« on: March 04, 2014, 10:02:35 PM »

Alright now there's a start lol. So what are the pros and cons of installing this on my boat, if there are any pros at all. You all make it sounds like I should toss this intake far away from my boat lol. I shot Greg at GS Marine an email and going back and forth a bit said its a good intake just didn't tell me much more about it. Told me to give him a call which I'll do tomorrow.

Hulls / Re: New Rouse 19' Gullwing
« on: March 03, 2014, 12:17:50 PM »

rebelde, it is apparent that you need to spend some more time reading many of the threads in SCJB to get a feel for the attitude in this joint.

Most of us don't appreciate newbies that start off by bashing another persons work (4 out of your first 5 posts comment on the knock off mold).  If you took the time to actually read the whole thread you would know that Jason (riverdad) never claimed to be making an original but trying to improve on an already good design.  Besides that he also noted that molds do take a beating over time.

Now, if you want to try and start over, you need to start your own thread with information on the mold you have (history, improvements, pics...), and lots of pictures of your past work.  As I'm sure you know, owning the mold and being able to craft a quality hull is two different things.

Good luck and welcome to SCJB  ;D
That couldn't of been said any better. I feel like this site is more of a brotherhood/ family type of place filled with people wanting to help and compliment each other. I think he might of thought he was on one of the other sites looking for a pissing contest!!!!!

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: Fuel injection
« on: March 03, 2014, 11:55:31 AM »
Fuel injected BBC Chevy Chevette. That car was my first nitrous ride back in the early 80's. A  guy named Gregg Petersen out of Santa Ana owned and built it. Lic plate said  BBAADD and it was.

« on: March 03, 2014, 11:47:00 AM »

I run mechanical fuel injection and I love it. Don't know if I will ever go back to carbs in a boat.
Someday I will be stacked (mechanically ). It seem to be a perfect set up for a jet boat. I knew a guy who had a injected BBC in a Chevette for a daily driver and that was years before they even spelled EFI. Couldn't be any simpler for tuning just swapping out pills. I'll see if I can find a photo of it.

I think that's a good start. Unless you have a jet kit with a good assortment of jets you're kinda stuck. I'd see how it runs and go from there. Somebody might chime in and personally know of better sizes and you could get those but I think you're good to go.

Is that Olds going to like the extra rpm and load? As long as the bottom end is built for it squeeze on. I have a 200 shot on my boat and max rpm goes from 6400 on the motor to about 7600 on the juice. But my motor was built for the excessive load/rpm from the nitrous. With that being said I seldom use it because it already a thill ride on just the motor.

The No Wake Zone / Re: Tires????
« on: February 27, 2014, 08:05:04 AM »
I'll run trailer tires on my single axle family boat. But as far as my hot rod boat it's plenty light enough to run pass car tires and it rarely has to turn tight. For 290.00$ I couldn't be happier and now this season you'll be seeing all up & down the river. From Jakes at McIntyre to the SCJB meet in Laughlin. Can't wait to meet and hang out with all you guys!!!
