I think he's using a set of std D3ve-a2a heads from elsewhere here Paul, but good question on the "Isky" intake. never seen a Dual Quad Isky intake for the 429-460. Probably made them, but must be the red headed step-child.

I have a cam, and lifters, I'm pulling, haven't yet, from the engine that came in the Moo boat when I bought it. Told by PO (And I beleive him), only ran 20 minutes on the water (Was broke in on a bench), before it hydrualic'd because the putz ran both water outlets to the OT headers and did not use the valve and install a second O/B dump. (Looks like it folded #1 rod like a taco).

It's supposed to be a Comp Cams 268H, But again I cannot confirm this until I pull the engine completely down. Been having too much fun in my free time on the water, lol. Also cannot confirm it's condition, or specs, without a lathe, but I'd bet it's OK.

Then again, listen to Paul, He'll get you headed in the right direction as far as the best combination for what you want.

As far as getting on plane, I'm pushing quite a bit of HP (Machine shop and assembler are guessing around 525 to 550, Assometer confirms this is probably pretty accurate, but I don't know boats, could be more. Gonna drag one o dem on a run one day to see what they think), and a quick blip of the throttle for a few seconds gets her up on plane pretty much immediately. The AA Impeller is all that slows that holeshot process down, I beleive, takes it a second or two to load up.

Just need to figure out the best combination for its ride in rough water!

Looks good! Boat looks familiar, lol. Now remove the engine cover, get some OT's and paint it like a farm animal and we're talking!  

My Tax guys are simply perplexed and calling the IRS about 4 times a day (Most of you know my weird situation, can't blame them), so I'm tired of waiting, gonna pull the trigger on a diverter for it next week and see if that cures it any. If Uncle Sam needs more mula from me, he's gonna have to wait in line, lol  

Thought about the loader and Cav Plates, but let's try this and see. Like I said, I could find very little rocker (Less than 1/16") anywhere, and no hook, on the Moo boat with an 8 foot level.

Funny thing is it seems to me to be a deeper V than my Saguaro which Omar swears handles chop very well. But, it does have the tanks mounted clear to the rear, which the Saguaro does not, and I'm assuming mine is the same as yours having a foam filled bow, which the Saguaro does not. (That's the next one, plans to pull it from it's trailer and get going on it next weekend, if my help doesn't Skip out on me).

Quagga's and Zebras have only been found in Lake Pleasant around here, so far as I know, all six of the SRP lakes are clean so far, but the guages will be liquid filled for sure!

Don't mean to poke fun at your pain, truly. That's a huge investment to go like that, nearly did the same thing myself at Mead, rookie mistakes. (Different circumstances, but still, closer than I wanted it)

That's what I'm understanding. After putting baffles in the Moo boat, went to Saguaro to see three others running open headers here too (Supposedly the restrictions are tighter on this lake than any other). Baffles came out this morning, who needs 'em, lol

Well, boat's been great, until the Saguaro run. Ran her for 5 hours pretty much non-stop. Seems to have real issues with rough water, which I posted in another thread. I came off that lake beat up like an Iraqi prisoner. (Still have sore muscles from that!)Hopefully we can work that out easily. I'm thinking ride plates and diverter will help.

Pulled the plugs and checked the wires about the misifiring issues( seemed to be running on 6 cylinders upon entering the no wake zone as I was preparing to pull it out), looks fine, just maybe started back to it's own rough 700 rpm idle that it hasn't done in awhile and surprised me (always wanted to idle at 1000 Sunday for some reason, sticky cable???). Also maybe a couple of the blasts of water over the bow hit the carbs and cleaned something out, or the major bouncing around we did, lol. I think we're ok there.

Crawled under the boat with an 8 foot level and can see very little rocker or hook, much less than 1/16" anywhere on the boat that I can find. So that's not it. Maybe just very shallow V, but not much more than the Biesemeyer which rode fine there I'm told.

If  the diverter doesn't fix it, then ride plates and maybe removing the foam that's packed into it's bow. (Does ride bow high at lower speeds) Might need a fuel tank up there, lol. I don't think they built them with my kind of HP in mind, but still, HP does not create the ride in rough water.

Any input?

Ummmm, Huh? maybe it's the beer, but why would you want to know a reading from there? 7 People read this and passed so I'll ask it.

Update: I guess I should clarify. You should read possibly flow there? or maybe vacuum? Not gonna get PSI from the suction side of the pump.
