use a high zinc (ZDDP) oil. prime the oil system first by removing the distributor and using an oil priming shaft to a drill motor. when you start the motor keep the RPMS up over 2k to 3k rpms and vary it. dont just use the idle set screw to keep it at one rpm. this way the cam gets splash lubricated. the first 20 minutes are the most critical to properly setting the wear pattern for that camshaft.
after a good romp around the lake, check plugs, drain oil and put a new filter. and continue to use a high zinc-phosphate (ZDDP) oil.
