How many wires to the Alt?

How much oil are you losing on the dipstick? Sounds to me like possibly a rear main seal or more likely a v/c gasket, breather grommet, Dizzy o-ring?

Put some oil soak pads around the bilge area with duct tape like a fence and run it to see if you can ID where the spray is coming from. Just an Idea. (Gonna do that with my blue one to see where it's leaking a little bit, I suspect an oil pan gasket)

OK, a successful trip, gonna start a new thread on this one maybe. Checked out the engine more closely today trying to understand why it won't spin above 4000 rpm, when it's rated 320 HP at 4600. Carb is opening all the way, no MSD unit with Rev Limiter, dunno about the secondaries, which may well be the issue, also dunno about the pump. Kinda scared to reach all the way back there to see if something's caught in the impeller ( Can't see anything from under it?)


Any ideas?

I have a plan for this one, (I know, I know, the kids are frightened too), of putting the Performer RPM on it with an 850. Seems to have an 850 Single pump on it now (Non marine), you guys tell me, it's a lil bigger than the 750's on the Moo.

Anyone tell if it's an 850 from this, lol


Also was wondering about this hose, the one to the left of the front fuel inlet. My 750's have a hole there for an adjustment screw, WTF is a hose doing there? lol


Day off today, figured I'd spend some time replacing all the lost screws that fell out of it on Sunday and get a solid plan together about how to fix all the gremlins.

What's kinda funny though, my friend I made squeal like a girl when I landed on the Mooo outta the wake zone, when he got in the bitch seat to begin with, at the marina,  I made him tie his So CAl Jet Boats shirt (Which I gave him, gotta order some more), up across his chest and bitch style, lol. which he DID, to my amazement, before we left the dock. (Deputy Sherrif was laughing his ass off as I shamed the guy into this) Kept telling him, we ain't goin nowhere 'til you comply. My boat, my rules, lol

Are we still on for this?  I'm actually more inclined for this, at least I know Mead a lil. If I'm driving 5 or 6 hours, I want to be able to spend the time in the boat, not ashore. Nordie? Jeremy? I know Terry's in. Keith's boat seems to want to make a right turn at Parker,  .

Got my vacation scheduled, gonna make a week of it and might have my brother bring the "Big Blue Meany" (As my kids have named it) along as well. Ain't fast....well...yet, refraining from aiming the udder's old engine at it.  . (Kids are nervous about me putting any engine in a boat anymore. Can't blame them really)

Need to make reservations, where's it gonna be guys? I know Omar and crew are going to Big River, (Don't like the idea or carrying a big rock in the boat, just sounds like a BAD idea to me, else I'd be in)

Hey Ray,where were you guys at? We would cruise around for awhile then we would throw the anchor out at the end of the lake opposite of the launch ramp. We were looking for you guys. I saw one loud jet boat, I think it was white. Had the headers sticking out the back.

That woulda been me.  Didn't see another white Jet boat let alone any other with headers setting out the back, all day, lol. And yeah, you'da heard it before you saw it for sure. Was a little nervous when the Deputy sherrif came down from the lil shack above the ramp to watch me launch the thing. Hopefully he was just a fan.

We started out going right from the launch ramp (by the dam), then to the other side of the lake looking for a place to beach it. Not much there, but we did find a decent spot on the opposite side from the marina. Fished and drank a bit, then loaded up and blasted the whole lake for awhile. All in all we only beached 4 or 5 times (So the girls could, well, you know.)

I liked it alot, big and open, lots of reef areas, and even the wake barges seemed to give a wide berth. No problem children on wet bikes either, that I noticed.  Down at the far end of the lake, yeah, there were a lot of people anchored. I assumed fishing or whatever, I kinda stayed clear a bit with that many boats moored, I'd be about as popular as a fart at a wedding.

The other boat, I noticed from being behind it, is really nearly as loud as the moo, even with TT Harmin Marine manifolds on it, so maybe I was worrying over nothing, but it DOES get your attention doind a holeshot!.

Hhmmm, I got an old flatty I gotta get rid of......

Don't give RJ any ideas, Terry,  He's politicing HARD for the Yellow Submarine to get into full swing, lol. He did impress me not being afraid to full throttle the Biesemeyer though, and he even tried a slick move to get me with the roostertail, but he didn't have it trimmed up when  he did it. If he had, he'da got me good!

Didn't see you either, lol we got in about 10:30, pulled out at 5:30. Just got home. Had lots of beer too, although none made it home with us.

Took tons of pictures, and they stayed! (Becca dropped the camera in the lake) DAMMIT, now I gotta go buy another camera!

Good times! My buddy and RJ drove the blue boat all day, with a couple of other buddies, and the girls all rode with me in the Moo boat, lol. Go figure. Took it pretty easy though, only a couple blasts above 4000 rpm, but working great! Both boats ran flawlessly all day, although the Moo boat does NOT like to idle when cold. You can certainly hear it ccoming tho. Need to get baffles, got more than my share of 'looks' from the poor bastards trying to fish, lol.

Scratched some of the new paint on the dock. No fault of mine this time, RJ was holding it against the dock while I launched the Blue one. Not his fault either really. Cy will fix it for me,

Heading to Pep boys and Autozone here in a few minutes, RJ thinks I hate him, lol. He's got the job of trying to polish the aluminum and the headers on the moo boat today, lol. He's pissed!

Yeah I know huh. Performers these days either suck live or lip-sync. The only one I know of that can almost always hit everything with a new twist and outstanding is Sammy Hagar, lol. The guy is amazing live. Sounds better live than on the CD!

As far as wet or not? Depends on what you can get away with where you run. Decibel regulations pretty much kill dry headers without 4 foot mufflers hanging off them. Should be a fine finish, but will lose some shine dry, I should think.

The original Chrome should be fine, and stay chrome and shiney from the water injection ports on if everything is working properly. (gonna blue at the heads, 'tis the way it is)

Look at mine, 1 loose hose clamp and I blued the hell outta them! Kinda matches the engine now, "Blue Away" is working, need to spend som more time buffing with it to see if it'll fix that or not. Kinda like them the way they are, tho, actually. Gives the look of Horsepower!
