Trailers / Re: Single axle vs double??
« on: August 01, 2011, 05:44:55 PM »
my 18' is on a single.  singles suck.  bouncy, and they whip back and forth.  tandems are the way to go.

X2. I have a tandem trailer. Smooth ride and easier to manever and back up.

I have a 18ft with a 460 with mild cam and I'm running a tunnel ram with two holley 660's.  ;D.

had 450's but went up to 660's. Runs great with either or. Just a little more on top end and gets there alot quicker though with the 660's. I like the muscle look. Lots of pros and cons though.

ARE YOU CRAZY :screwy:

pull the drain plug and let it drain in the bildge first then suck it out of the bildge :screwy:

or lift the motor out like most of us do and drain the oil

X2.   .   Or buy or use a pump and pump it out. Run the line thru your dip stick hole and start pumping. Should take only 10 to 15 min. You might even have a drain hose from your plug already.

I think you have to resize your image of your photos because your image is to big that probably why you can't get it to post. Original size is probably (1024x768) you want to resize it down to (640x480). Meaning the first set of numbers is document size and the second set of numbers are e-mail size. Not to be a smart ass, but this is what I have to do to most of my pics before I post. After I resize it, it works all the time. Oh and by the way SWEET ride. Very clean.

Thanks guy's for the help. It's set up just like how nordic said. You use a little flathead srewdriver to change  each setting. It has 1 2 3 4. Right now it's on the one and the three. Well #1. I'll try #2 see what happens. If not I'll try each setting out. Thanks again for the input guy's

I have pretty much same set-up as you with the 460, just running dual carbs though. 660's. Mine is at 13 degree's at about 1000 to 1200 rpms. Fires right up. Pretty quick starts.
