Tom at JBP does it. Ask him! This is a JE pump, so maybe it was set up to do it from the start, I dunno. Have yet to call Tom back. Need to do that tomorrow.

Oh and Joe, you're more than welcome to participate in all this tomorrow evening and Sunday.  I know you're close. You too Forkie, I know you're on the west side, but still close. Might need someone to help lift the engine up to drain the oil when we get back! (Only way to do it, new pan didn't make it easy to configure an oil drain right away, another one of those things I gotta upgrade later!) Got it figured out in my lil brain, but we all know how far THAT can get me into trouble! :screwy:

Thanks Joe. Did that. Can buy one locally cheaper I think and put it on myself. Just thought maybe someone had one laying around. Not a big deal, but need it before next weekend obviously!

Should be ready to fire the boat Tomorrow! Then to water test it and break it in. (The guy from Joe Gibbs told me to run their BR oil for 2 hours or so then drain it and put in the HR oil). We're thinking of dragging it to Saguaro Lake Sunday. We'll see how that goes! Finishing up the wiring right now. Taking a beer break.

What grease is used in the pump? It's already set up with zerk fittings, so grease must be what's in there! So I need to make sure that's full!

Other than that, ready for Mead next weekend!

Capt. Bovine

Gawd that's great!

How's anyone feel about this. Boiught this, among others, as my kids' college money years ago. Shootin' 'cans'? maybe. 4 position lower. Class 3 transferrable for the right price.

Need the receiver, Skip, but thanks. Anyway, Twas the receiver missing, plugs and hookups are all there. Home Cheapo, my employer, no way shape or form carries an insert capable of compensating for this ride. Gonna need an adjustable height deal on this rig. This thing is HIGH!

BTW I  LIKE the Capt. Bovine, or even Capt. Heifer, That is COOL,  ;D A toast to that at Mead!

My dad a couple of years ago, took an 8 point whitetail, running away from him while he was in a treehouse, at 75 yards, with a gun I had bought him for his birthday (a .41 magnum Ruger Blackhawk), that he had never shot, nor had I. He was 60 at the time, and the gun was not sighted in.

Took it from the base of the skull. Deer dropped immediately.

I've always wanted to be as good as he is. He's done many a shot like that.

I like the idea of moving targets tho. My dad was, and is, the best at that. Couldn't come close to him.

Back when I shot in the clubs, years ago, Tom, used to shoot all metal silouhettes(sp). KNock them over or spin them, whatever the station needed. Was all a 'Woods walk' shooting at metal targets, birds, bears, could be 20 yards or 200. used to get a check every couple of weeks for $300 or more. Paid my mortgage at the time back there. My wife loved it. 'Tis why I bought the first .357 Maximum Dan Wesson to begin with.

Combat shoots, well another matter as to why I went 10mm and am still a huge fan.

Been there and done that brother! Spent the last 20 or so years of my life working towards when I could have a real VACATION. Well, timber, or dice, fall where they may, and I find myself looking seriously at the important things in life. This is MY summer, lol, and damn it, I'm having fun! ;D

Oh, you have a jet boat, that'll be $80.00 for day use & ramp fees.    But the guy ahead of me only paid $20.00 to get his bass boat on the water.   Sorry sir, after the last jet boat group came through we had to raise the prices to make up for all the damage "the place will never be the same".

And that's not counting fire damage from the Pot Luck..............

Oh, and I can switch hit between the barrel shroud with the scope or without. But anything over 75 yards or so, really need the scope, and a bench if over 100. Guess I'm getting old..... :banghead:

Honestly though, with the scope set up right for you, it is AMAZING how easy it is.

Lol good load in a 454.  This one was originally a .44 Dan Wesson Supermag. It was converted to 5 shot .500 John Linebaugh Long by an old retired gunsmith back when I lived in Ohio (15 or so years ago). It will toss a 525 grain hard cast bullet at close to 1300fps. And punish you in the process. BADLY. Don't shoot it much these days, as brass for it has to be made from 358 Winchester, long discontinued. But still a hoot to do so at the local range. Anything moving in the world, within 250 yards or so, such as a Blackberry I shot a month or so ago at 225 yards, isn't safe with it. Locals get nervous when it goes off.

Funny story behind the Blackberry incident.

Lol , you guys. I actually priced a hitch for the Pontiac. Then thought better of it realizing how much fun I was opening myself up for, at my own expense, from you guys! Which woulda been fun, don't get me wrong! I dun mind the Chiding in the least.

In the end, was better to buy this behemoth (And behemoth it is, will NEVER clear entry into my garage) than to face all that. Did NOT need a 1 ton 4x4, but it is what it is. ;D

Speaking of which, anyone have a receiver for one of these things? Seems the original was jacked! Need to find one quick or I'm going to U-Haul and get raped............ again.... and..... it's almost getting enjoyable.......

Drop on the 780 and dump the 600. Only thing the 600 is likely good for is a tunnel ram dual carb setup, IMHO.

Or an Olds! ;D
