I didn't want to offend Ray (IRREBEL) but the Home Depot down the street from my house did the same thing, I won't even go in there anymore, I would rather spend 15% more and keep someone employed...

lol No offense GT. I've been wondering the sub-moronic mentality behind self checkout for years. Particularly in our business, Home Depot, I giggle every time I see someone try and scan a 4x8 foot sheet of CDX or a 2x4 on the damn things. Let alone our maintenance costs when at least once a month or so someone dumps a five or one gallon bucket of paint in one. The self checkout is by far and away the biggest customer complaint at HOme Depot, and for good reason.

The same mentality that has these CEO's raking in the bucks is the fault of Wall Street, or more narrowly, Day traders and investment bankers. Can't really blame the CEO's for taking the money these boards of directors are willing to pay them to do what they do, much like you can't blame ball players for what they make when some idiot is willing to pay that. The problem is the boards of these companies are made up of day traders and investment bankers. The days when you were ranked on what could you do in 5 years are gone. If you can't show a return on investment in 6 months, you don't have a job. These top execs bonuses and payscale reflect that. In a nutshell, if they can make an investment in the company , say hardware, that is going to save them money over 2 to 3 years, even five and pay off, and then continue to run for 5 more years, they dun wanna hear it. They'll buy disposable sheit that craps out and needs replaced in 6 to 9 months because then they have made thier bonuses. At the same time screwing the very company that paid the bonus to begin with. Why do these CEO's bounce from company to company.......HMMMMMMM.........

Same thing with self checkout. I agree with GT and Omar, I refuse to use them, even in my own store. I once made a head cashier get a till, open a register and ring me out 10  minutes before closing one night in my own store.  The thinking is, as Omar stated, saving payroll, the biggest expense in retail. My solution is this, those machines cost more than any 3 cashiers pay for 5 years, when you count maintenance costs and sales lost due to poor customer service. Plain and simple and I've offered to prove it in my store by shutting the phucking things down for 2 months and see how much our average dollar per transaction increases. No one will take the bet.

lol it's quite ok, the Corona's have their hand on me too, don't worry little bunny!. The Rebel has the JE pump, the Saguaro (Yellow Submarine) had the recently removed JC pump. The engine project had started long before the Rebel came along, and is a far quicker prospect for the engine. That is, until yet another project finds its way into my yard, Gawd this is awful, I can't even keep track MYSELF!!! I dunno how 2sav does it. Maybe I need his organizational skills.

Anyway, the Rebel had the engine rebuilt, and the pump, and went from logs to OT headers, (where the headers I was buying then turned into the wole boat). The Moron who did the work, apparently, simply plumbed all the exit water from the engine through the headers with no overboard dump. Well guess what, 20 minutes into maiden voyage with new driveline, and BANG. I end up with another boat, long and short of it.

Word of advice, from the old days. Not much experience with boats, but DITCH the manifolds and get headers, NOW!. The bigger the better where NOS is concerned. Nitrous oxide by itself does not burn. It is an oxidizer, that , when hitting the combusion chamber, vaporizes to nearly pure oxygen, thus enhancing a total burn in the combustion cycle. The bigger the shot, the richer the fuel needs to be to keep from burning exhaust valves, pistons, etc. That's why you have fuel nozzles with the NOS nozzles. It also has a cooling effect of the fuel charge on a hot engine, thereby limiting detonation.

In a nutshell, and THUS, and this is general physics here, if you're burning much more fuel, you need to get the gasses out much more quickly or you'll have a buildup that leads to catastrophic events. This is where you hear of manifolds being blown off or cracked from the stuff.

You have a solid enough foundation for NOS, I would approach cautiously on the size of the shot. 100hp shot, in a boat, to me would seem a monumental increase all things being equal. More that that will likely require an impeller change to realize the crafts new HP curve. Then again, when off the bottle, if the impeller is tailored to when you are on it, performance is going to suffer.

It's a nasty quagmire.

Had it twice, did it both times to myself 

First time, was quite harmeless to any innocent bystanders when I was single and the kids were with their mom in Philly. Anyway, cooked up some chicken on the grill, apparently not long enough and since been better about where I buy meats. Regardless, had me on the toilet and my face in a trash can for what seemed hours.  Took me 2 days to recover and then another 2 days to clean up what I had done. lol.

Second time, my kids remember well. They were 9 and 11 at the time. Cindy came home with the kids, they went to school where she taught, I had been home alone all day. Decided to make my own lunch on the grill, Mexican style Carne Asada. Don't try that unless you're mexican by the way, and watch where you buy the meat.

To make a long story short, which is already too late and I don't know why I care to share it to begin with, Cindy came home.

I had, apparently, and quite successfully, made this gawd awful stink reach the front door from the Master Bathroom, where I was still enthroned. Cindy tried, in vain, to see if I was ok, then simply went outside and called me on my cell to check on me, then to inform me she was taking the kids out for dinner and a movie, and that I might want to consider calling in a Hazmat team in the interim.

This incident was always, and still is,  referred to as "The Dump". lol. My kids recollect it often at the most inoportune times.

Had my B-Day party here this weekend. Buddy of mine tagged onto this site on my laptop and found these posts about the Comp Jet. He wanted to know if there was an Import class? LOL. Seems he has this Idea all of a sudden, not that I encouraged it, of putting his B-18 GSR engine in my Saguaro. Any thoughts? lol
