Well I tapped around with a hammer and got a nice solid sound, no thuds. So I decided to just fill the holes with some resin and glass over them. When I pulled up the carpet I noticed some of the glass for the bulkhead was separating from the hull so that was also re- glassed wile I was down there. I don't know why it was separating / cracking, I checked the passenger side and it was just fine. After everything was dry I drilled some pilot holes and re-threaded the holes. I added some caulking to the screws and re installed the pedal mount. Feels nice and strong now, hopefully it will hold up. Now I know to check "all" the screws before going out on the water.

The gf should go down for being an accessory!
Glad you did the right thing and got the cops involved. This guy meeds to burn!
Take all his shit, then call the cops anyway.

just flip the lever 180* with the bracket that pulls the cable. right now it looks like its pointed down, flip it 180* so its pointed upwards so theres less angle on the cable. get it?

THIS is maybe what saved his heads.

That piece of crap is back on the shelf where it belongs! It was a big waste of time! I am back to the turbo project.
Raleigh, as much as i hate to say it.....keep you eyes open on craigs list for parts that fit the description of yours......primarily the motor and pump (they have the most value and are the easiest to sell) I hope ya catch the fukers that took it! If you do, call me over and we will have a good old fashion "LEG BREAKIN' PARTY".... I have a new softball bat that I have been dying to try out!

We had a friends boat in here last year, he worked on it himself, with the cam 45* out....and running! Bent every intake pushrod. I replaced them and away he went, still running today....compression is fine. Unbelievable, 'member that one Ray?
How it ran before, or after and had no bent valves we'll never know........and how you just happened to have a set of correct length 3/8 pushrods for those rockers........Jay must be Irish..........I was just telling that story to a guy that bought a cam and timing set the other day!

Happens to the best, and only on the Chebbie as far as I know. Terry and I had to go then online and download Comps instructions for the timing set to know for sure what mark was what on the crank gear when resetting it (There's three of them, and we had to have 2 other guys ID the marks we couldn't see).
new vac diaphragm. i dunno... weee woosh, its only when they open up that i hear it and then it goes away once they're open.
my point is that when my carb was jetted really lean at least it would run and it ran fine at idle and WOT and it stumbled inbetween. i still hit 5k even with those small jets.
Ceramic filter in the bowl clogged? metering block clogged up? could be many things, but I think that carb needs to come apart.
