Any body? If its not save able I'd hate to do it but ill end up pulling the tanks and intake and taking a skill saw to it. It's a solid hull other than the hump

So I'm gonna bring this up for picture reasons. Hopefully Glenn will chime in. There's Is an unusual hump in the deck and after looking at it tonight with a member here that came to look at it it appears there is foam under that section of the bow and the foam/wood caused it to swell up. But there's no apparent stress cracks or anything on the decks surface. So if I dig out the foam what are the chances of this thing going back to its original shape. And it's not a gradual slope, it's not there then poof it hops up an inch and then continues to gradually slope to the edge.

WTB / Locking gas tops
« on: September 18, 2013, 03:51:42 PM »
So like the title says I'm looking for some locking gas fills to replace the flip tops on my boat. I have had my tanks siphoned three times now and ill find out who it is pretty soon, the first two times they got a total of 40 gallons of gas and the third time, well they were baited with a dummy tank. 15 gallons of diesel, gas, water, anti freeze and any other half empty container of Mek, paint thinner, drain o, bleach and what ever i had laying around the garage.

So back on track, anyone know of or have a pair of locking gas tops that look decent?

Jet Pumps / Re: What Jacuzzi pump is this
« on: September 18, 2013, 01:39:46 PM »
It's not a terrible pump but don't expect to see and faster than 45 ish. It's meant for larger cruiser boats. It's more of a high volume low pressure pump opposed to a high pressure low volume berk pump.

Boats For Sale / Re: 73 kona gotta sell
« on: September 17, 2013, 09:19:49 AM »
Its never to cold in Cali to take the boat out. Something I have done when selling a vehicle is set it up where 2-3 people look at it at once, saves you time and you don't have to explain things over and over.

Hulls / Local repair in Corona
« on: September 15, 2013, 11:33:22 PM »
Take it to gs marine and be done with it. Your going to pay but your going to get what you pay for and it will be done fast. My boat is there now getting rigged . DO NOT TAKE YOUR BOAT TO DANA MARINE HE TALKS A GOOD GAME BUT IT WILL NEVEEEERRRR GET DONE.

X2  on gs marine. Dana marine will fuk your sh!t up. There is a gentlemen on this board whom I am in a truck club with and Dana did a bunch of "work" on his boat and trailer that took almost 3 months but was only maybe a weeks worth of work. but nothing was done right, it was all Mickey Mouse and half ass work and there were a few things billed for that were not even done. Hell he had two wheels fall off the same axle on the trailer shortly after Dana did the work. And the 4 bearing buddies that were paid for didn't make it to the trailer hubs. Weird right.

Stay away from Dana's work. But his parts seem to be good.....as long as he doesn't put them on.

Jet Pumps / Help with identjfying a part
« on: September 13, 2013, 07:43:33 AM »
Is that a chevy motor and does it run to the jet pump or to the motor? the little thing in top of of the canister is it a mini pump? It looks like a oil primer. I have one similar but metal on my car, you pressurize the canister and the you flip the valve on the bottom and its suppose prime the oil system by pushing oil into the oil system to help with dry starts after sitting for long periods

Looks like the master has spoken, but the 750 is not enough by any means. I'm running a 750 on a mild built 468 and I'm under carbureted.

Jet Pumps / Re: Steering system replacement suggestions
« on: September 11, 2013, 08:41:52 AM »
X2 on the rack system and low speed steering on a jet kinda sucks period. Your best bet like mentioned is up the idle. Mine is set at about 9-1100 ( don't know if my 40 year old tach is very accurate) and an occasional bump on the throttle to keep it straight.
