I believe its an 8 gallon tank. I can measure it and im sure someone here can determine  for sure.

There is no doubt that the whole cocktail seating would look better but Im just at a point to where putting a ton of money in it just doesnt make sense anymore.

Its a 1969 model and shes starting to show her age. She has been the definition of "B  reak  O  ut   A  nother  T  housand"

Plus its just hard for me to sink in the money when I use it so rarely. I own my own business and have to work "on call" every other week. Then at that point you have to factor in the kids Baseball and playing with the other toys.

Believe me on one thing though, If I were in California where there seems to be an abundance of jet boats I might be the "black sheep" and the story might be different on what I threw at it dollar wise, But here I am one of three on all the lakes i have been to. 

You wanna be a rock star on the water? Drag one of your boats to Alabama... because if they are dropping their jaws for mine, i think they would  just all jump overboard when they saw some of yours.

Im in Chelsea, AL.  I've got 9 acres of land and most of it is wooded. I'm sure trees are a little rare in some parts of the west...? lol

I just had to throw this out there for some of you guys who are in need of a new interior but not willing to dump a ton of money into it.

I picked these up for roughly $120 a piece and if you do this dont settle for the cheaper Rugged Ridge" or Onyx" brands because they are made in china and have constant complains about the frames breaking. I really didnt want to take the chance being right in front of the motor.

They can be bought in a variety of colors but it seemed to be a struggle to get anything but black from the local off-road shop. BEFORE... you guys jump on me for the foolishness of them being BLACK and SCALDING hot in the sun the look pretty damn good against the blue. I can always put neoprene seat covers on it but they do come in tan, spice, and grey besides the black.

They are Smittybuilt low back bucket seats for a Jeep which means they are made for the weather and to be wet all  the time. They have a lifetime warranty on the frame and a year on the material but being that they stay covered up or garaged 90 percent of the year they should hold up for many years to come.

You can get them in different materials also.

Its still not completely installed in these photos, More or less just mocked up, but you get the idea.

I am curious on mounting my fuel tank in the front of the boat. It was there before i bought the boat but they removed it and now I have the round barrel type in front of my engine. I have bought a plastic tank that I want to put back in the front but not real sure on how to mount it. I was thinking just mixing up some fiberglass resin and basically "glueing"  down a strap that i can then use to strap around the tank after it drys .
What are your suggestions on the best way to do this?

I'm just trying to setup the boat best I can without just going crazy with a supercharger or something.
Its a 1969 boat and far from mint and I already have a good bit of money in it now.

I'm not trying to say I am done spending money on it or have an endless supply of money but I just am tired of spending money on it and seeing little to no difference.

 I'm willing to keep plugging away at it but i'm just don't want to put some bad combinations together on it and end up loosing any gains I have incurred.

I'm in Alabama and there are very few jet boats here much less people that understand the 460 if its not in a race car which is a totally different application and setup.

Right now i'm maxed out at 60 mph and would like to see a few more ,that's all...

Would a loader scoop help any? I see a few for sale and they claim more speed but im sure were only talking about 1-2 mph?

IS there that much difference between the 270 cam and the 305 with right setup?

Roller Rockers, I can get a set of Harland Sharps from a buddy cheap. Would that help?

The boat runs good like it is but I am in need of replacing my heads mainly because there is damage to the edge of where the valve cover makes a seal on the back by #4 cyl so I figured might as well upgrade a little.

Can someone chime in on the differences I should expect with just swapping heads verses heads with the larger cam.
I will skip the pro comps for sure.

Do you have the linkage parts for it?

Anybody to chime in on this would be great.
I have also have added a tunnel ram offenhauser set up with the single 850 carb and had to upgrade to a billet ready to run dist setup with an external coil.

If I run these heads  c8ve-e would they be better than the alluminum set that on ebay all the time for I think 849.00 from ebayer clewwho40 or about the same. I dont want to spend another grand for little or no gains over the c8ve-e heads besides weight.

Alright, i'm in need of help again.
I have located and am currently having a set of C8VE-E built but while I have it pulled down this far I though why not go with a bigger cam since now im gonna have the screw in studs with these heads.
Right now i'm running a comp cam 270 ( 270 intake 286 EXH duration @ .050 : 226 236 with a lobe sep: 112.0 valve lift .554 .557 ) With the matched set of springs from comp cams.
Ive had several people suggest a 305h cam or the big mutha thumper cam.
Any suggestions on this?
I am running the double valve spring setup that comp cams suggested but I can find part #s for them. Can I reuse these on one of these cams?
I'm running a 460 with bassett headers, a ported set of c8ve-e heads ,flat top pistons, a wiend stealth intake, and a 850 double pumper with 50cc.
