Thanks guys for the comments. I should have some more up in the next couple of days.
And Brad, one of the things that inspired me to buy Cole Cash was seeing it River Ratts 2. Well that and one of my best friends owned it and wanted to sell it to me  ;)
I still have yet to get the DVD though.  :(
CFW is near Marysville but is actually located in Wheatland California near Lincoln. A little North East of Sac. It is by far the best time anyone could possibly have on the lake or just watching from shore (especially the Father's Day outing). I highly recommend a venture there to those who love fast boats and some of the coolest people involved in the hobby.

Here are a couple vids from Camp Far West this past Father's Day.
Sorry they are so pixelated. Does anyone know how to cure that?

Thanks guys for the congrats. He's a bit of a hand full at 3am. My poor wife is breast feeding him and he likes to eat at weird hours. At least we don't have to make him a  bottle. If that was the case then I'd be expected to get up and make it...........Screw that.. ;D
Hey Chromey:
Give your bro a big thanks for me. I appreciate his service.

If I wasent sharing the room with a couple I would have invited you.
Proper etiquette would of been to invite him and then have him film the threesome with you and the couple.

Ha ha ha ha....yes his name is Cole and no we didn't name him after my boat "Cole Cash". We are Johnny Cash fans as well so integrating that into his middle name would of been easy to pull off, but we opted not to. Actually my wife decided on the name Cole if you can believe that.

Thanks. He is a boy. His name is Cole.
I live a little south of Riverside in Menifee.

Well my plans got canceled to go to CFW for Labor Day weekend. We had our baby on the 7th and my wife's C-section hasn't healed all the way. She is no way ready for a long trip. Instead we have some friends coming down who have a newborn as well. They are bringing their boat. So we were thinking of heading out to possibly the river and leave the chicks at home to do whatever it is they do when the guys are away. We are probably just going to do a day trip or two.
Where the hell is everyone going??? Would like to meet up (that's Meat up in beerjet terms) with some fellow socaljetboat peeps if possible.

The world is small, but I think in the world of Hot Rods & Rat Rods it's even smaller.

Another one .

Ha....my brother and I helped this guy get this thing on his trailer at the Grand National Roadster show. Way cool dude. That car is so low that it was hitting the trailer. It took about 7 of us to literally lift it up and over the contact point.

And Boyd is way cool. My dad sold him a 64 Chevelle 2 door wagon with a 427 in it at the Pomona swap meet. The car was 14 grand. Boyd payed in cash. Told my dad to come by the shop and he would give him a steering wheel for a 67 big block el Camino that my dad was working on. When my dad got to Boyd's shop, Boyd not only had a billet steering wheel for him, but a set of 17" Billet wheels with tires for the car too. This was back in '95 when 17's were the shit.
Boyd hooked my dad up for no charge. Good guy in my family's eyes.

ASAP!!!  I pulled the heads to replace a gasket, found the blower going south and one detail after the next, here it is about two months later. I painted the block n heads, rewired, replumbed, replaced bolts w/ stainless. new battery box, new chrome marine Alt. yada yada so on and so forth. The bitch is I've moved in the middle of it all and am five miles from the Lake!!!  Gonna work on it tonight, maybe take a day or two off this week to  geter runnin. Gotta machine the water pump for a real seal, it's leaking water into the oil and it's a Kuhl "River Rat" pump and he's outta business..Sooooo soon brotha soon. Ever wanna do Mead or Mojave lemme know. What did ya think about the other Sanger I found, funny shit huh?
Yes, it's amazing how many of these things look alike. Same colors with slightly different patterns. I'm gonna have to hit up Mead one weekend before the Summer is over. I will deffinitley let you know.

Thanks guys. The engine is a Dave Riolo 505 a tic under 900 Hp. The boat runs 122 mph. I've never ran it against the clock myself but the previous owners says between 8.30's to 8.50's. I'm putting the bottle on it this winter to  really shake things up and make me shit my pants.

Boats For Sale / Re: CHALLENGER V-DRIVE
« on: August 24, 2007, 12:10:22 PM »
That's not a bad price Tim (with the tunnel ram and mag). Looks like the v-drive and the engine are in the right place. Soooo many times we see these old v-drives with the engines nearly touching the transom so that there is more seat room. Good to see that someone put the stuff where it's supposed to go.

Whew!!!  ;)

Liberty's are killer rough water hulls. Randy used to run wide open through water i'd never touch in my Bonneville.

that's gonna make a great circle boat. congrats.

Jeff Bennett and Jack McClure have tons of knowledge about that hull.
Is that the same type hull that Randy had? I remember looking at Randy's old boat when Barrett owned it and it seemed a bit more square in the back like a Bahner or Pioneer. Ricks new boat looks more rounded like a Sanger. I'm not saying it is I'm just wondering if they used different tops with the liberty bottom.

Not skiing, but flytime hit me and my son in the boat with a tail a few weeks back; no big deal but I was videoing at the time (which he didn't know); I dropped the camera under the bow just in time; made for a funny clip.
Post it up.. ;D I roosted a guy behind my old Bahner when he was tubbing. He couldn't hang....
