I picked this thing up for 250 bucks with the large 4.0 lithium battery from home depot. I initally bought it because i needed another charger and this was only another 70 bucks than the regular milwaukee charger. It charges the batteries and the battery also powers the radio when its unplugged. Am/fm, bluetooth, aux port and a usb port to charge the phone. The big battery fully charged with my phone plugged in and it pretty much on full blast lasted 10 hours. And the battery only takes about and hour to fully charge from dead. Its not to big and its pretty loud and the biggest selling point, theres a bottle opener.

Black rubber in the sun and water on and off the boat, i could see them leaving marks. Ever used a toilet plunger and not had a black ring left behind. I could see them leaving black stain rings everywhere on a light colored hull. Cool idea though.

I can understand exactly where your comin from GT. For me it seems like the drifting started right after we got married though, we didnt get to have the 15/20 years or so before it started. She never really wanted to go to the drag nights at the local tracks, or to the lake with my dads boat or ours  after i finished it and i could never get her to go out wheeling. The only time i guess you could say we "bonded" while doing what i love and enjoy was when i was working on stuff in the garage. I would pretty much make her come out and she had a dedicated spot in the garage she could sit and hang out and "talk" while i was working on stuff and she seemed to really enjoy it after time as well as i did. But after moving into an apt and losing that time plus working two jobs and side jobs on the weekend things havent gotten any better with me always working. Aside from doing things together with the kids or going to her family functions we really dont spend any time together. But then 2 weekends ago i got a glimpse of hope. A friend of mine asked me to ride his harley to his new home in central cali. He had left it at his brothers during the move and claims he didnt have the time to come get it and his wife wont drive alone and he didnt feel like renting a trailer so he asked me and i was looking forward to some alone time to get away and relax. Now my wife hates any kind of street motor cycle because they are "dangerous", always said shed never get on one and shes the reason i didnt get back onto a dual sport a few months back but after my friend and his wife pushed alittle and she decided to ride out with me. So first thing in the morning we headed out and instead of taking the short and fast way which would of been a 6 hour 80mph cruse i decided to go the longer route and ride up pch which took us 2 days. A few stops here and there during the day to relax, stretch and check out some local shops and some pretty cool resturants made the trip really fun for me and her. To my amazement I can say she had a great time and i know this because she said it. Probably one of the best times we have had together alone since the honeymoon. We had head sets and she talked till her lips almost fell off for most of the ride (it wasnt untill about half way through the first day she realized she had to push a button for me to actually hear what she was saying. She just thought i was a good listner, i just thought she fell asleep) and it just being the two of us with no distractions, pretty much cuddleing with me and talking the entire time and not having to worry about anything other than pot holes It was really nice for just the two of us. I could of done without allllll that talking but it really made her happy and I now have permission to buy a harley when the funds permit so im pretty happy about that too. Shes looking forward to the rides and the time alone together and traveling as well so asap i will be getting another bike.



So long story short and the moral of the story.....buy a harley Glenn lol.

Funny thread now. Wasn't this about finding a reasonable price on a pump? 😆 Just the reality of building a boat and staying [happily] married...

Alright ill spell it out for you, being happily married is like street magic.....its all slide of hand and distractions.

Now you want to build a reasonable priced pump. Good luck, we have all heard it, good fast and cheap, pick two cuse you aint gonna get em all unless your gt and can build your own crap......
1.buy a complete spare pump wait out for a good deal on craigslist. Easy to hide.
2. Start building that stash cash.
3. Drop said pump off to have build. Intake milled and set up for shoe and ride plate.
4. Tell wife boats having issues and you gonna take it in to have it looked at.
5. So now you pay for pump build  and machine work with cash and pay for installation and set back with card.
6. Dont slip up and get caught, hide cash reciept and enjoy.


Now this may take a while depending your abilities to save but if you play your cards right you should be set up come next season.

AND THE MOST IMPORTANT TIP OF ALL OF THIS!!!! dont let her see this thread or your screwed from the begining and just digging your own grave.

Gonna have to shorten ir alot more than that. Your gonna want the ball to sit about 2-3 feet away fron the nose of the boat.

Bumping this back up. Still got it, gonna clean it up today and take some more pics.

Those plugs are called dollar plugs or test plugs, depends on who your talking to at home deopt or any other plumbing supply store.

Don't forget to put the bilge plug in before launching.....

And like everyone else said no throttle no steering.

When in doubt throttle out directly applies to jet boats or anything with a jet. Watched a few people panic on jet skis and turn with no throttle and bam. Its always sad to see but funny to watch.

Leave it strapped to the trailer and back the rear in. Let it idle and hit the gas periodicly to find any leaks in the plimbing or hull....make sure the clean out is tight and seated all the way. Me and jordan had some fun with that after we put his jacuzzi jet back in his last boat.....one of us over looked it and the other didnt double check.... then when your comefortable tie it up at the dock and wait a while checking for leaks again and double checking clamps and water lines. Then when your ready to head out make sure you have your tow rope, a paddle and your life vest on......just incase..... and if you can go with 2 boats rhats best.

And most importantly.......make sure you have the damn keys to the boat and gas in the tanks...
