Here's another tip for saving your engine. Accusump. I know after years of being on the river and beating the crap out of my stuff this was one of the things I had to have after building a new engine. I can't remember how many times I was making a pass and looking at my oil pressure gauge drop at the end of the pass. Basicly it is an oil resevoir that opperates when you have a pressure loss in the oiling system. There are two ways to run this a manual system and an electronic system. The electronic one has a pressure switch that when the oil pressure drops below 25 psi it will actuate a soleniod thus restoring oil pressure. The one I have holds three quarts.
