Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: Engine Insurance ?

I have one on my boat not a band aid more like a piece of mind in knowing if I lose oil pressure for any reason it's there for me. Don't really use it for pre oiling.

Here's another tip for saving your engine. Accusump. I know after years of being on the river and beating the crap out of my stuff this was one of the things I had to have after building a new engine. I can't remember how many times I was making a pass and looking at my oil pressure gauge drop at the end of the pass. Basicly it is an oil resevoir that opperates when you have a pressure loss in the oiling system. There are two ways to run this a manual system and an electronic system. The electronic one has a pressure switch that when the oil pressure drops below 25 psi it will actuate a soleniod thus restoring oil pressure. The one I have holds three quarts. To read more check out canton racings site.

The No Wake Zone / Re: School me on Dual Jet boats
« on: October 02, 2013, 04:20:55 PM »
I once saw a dual jet boat that was powered by a jet motor so I guess it actually had three jets. It was in Corona at an interior shop and  the guy told me the owner had over 100 grand in it and it topped out at around 100mph.

I was thinking about glassing allum mounts that have tapped holes for everything that mounts to my stringers. I hate bolting things to them.

I was wondering how much a skag affects slow to medium speeds. My boat seem to either want to whip around or struggle doesn't seem to really be a happy medium.

I tend to drive and straight for some reason that's the way my boat likes it. It seems like it either whips right around or struggles. Wondering how a skag would react.

My 496 has two 750 quick fuels and feels like it wants even more. I'd love to be able to run some injectors like the set up Beaver has!!!

When I first  joined  the site I used to have to preview my photos before they would post but that hasn't happened for quite a while. And I've only used my I phone. Not even sure where my laptop is since I've got this phone. Lol
