no big deal to me fellas, just throwing out an idea, wanted to see what you guys though. And Gord, I hope you don't feel like I have attempted to modify your vacataion.no worries Nick If I could get done sooner it wouldnt be an issue but still have to do a cut of hay the first 2 weeks in Aug.
There is a gas pump at Water Wheel, wich is between Big River and Aha Quin.

I've had pretty good luck with needing to pull the engine around when the oil is due to be changed

were getting closer I think just glad we found out theoriginal lifters were too short as that answers so many questions
Pop the valve covers. From what u r saying ur top end may be dry...Prime oil system make sure u get oil outa every pushrod etc.
lets see a pic of the lifter, if it was me the cam would be coming out for inspection and a measure. Now, where is all the metal from the lifter?lifter has just come apart no scuff marks on it seems to be no metal loss just the spring clip miaaing

'The other day someone called tri-tip a "California thing". Don't they have tri-tips in markets everywhere? I believe it originated in Santa Maria but c'mon . . . doesn't everyone deserve a smoked tri-tip a few times a year?it was me ,just had a steeer killed and asked my butcher about it. he had heard of it and said not in Canada ,it is popular in California but he could cut me 2 out of this animal, but you dont get much out of a carcass. I meant no offence by the California remark
Sorry for the thread jack but it seems like a good time to ask.
