I've got both a Garmin 330 (similar to the Tom Tom) and the Microsoft Streets and Trips. Both are fantastic but have their strengths and weakness's (sp?).

The Garmin will definately get you where you're going and is small and simple. But, it's difficult to "see" where you're going and what's close.

The Streets and Trips is fantastic. It'll get you there, you can chose the route you want to go and "see" where you're going at all times, what's close or coming up and where you've been.  But, having the computer in the truck with you and keeping the battery charged can be a pain in the butt unless you have a inverter in the cab and some form of a docking station would be the best.

Two different animals that do what they're intended to do very well.

PS, no I dont get lost so often that I have to have two GPS's in the truck.....  I've reponsible for a large area with many remote sites....

Actually since I posted last I already made a solid mount to bolt shoe(s) and rideplates on, futuristically, and in the pictures it emulates the stock setup.   This makes it so I can make a couple of shoes that i can swap really easy, at the lake if i want, and not have to worry about sealling and other issue that may arise if this were one piece.

Looks fantastic Josh. You do fantastic work.  The above picture was the one I was struggling with. I like your approach.  My guts telling me what you already have there is liable to make a big difference without anything else.

I really think you're on to something Josh. Of course, I'm usually wrong on stuff, but, I like the basic design of the intake. With the shoe hardware, what are the mounting options you 're batting around.
I don't think it'll take much of a shoe to load the crap out of this thing.

It "seems" like this would be a natural but I just cant get my head around the shoe mount side of things.

Outside of stinger to the center of the pump hole is 14 1/2"
