I didn't build the one in the picture I just used it as an example but that is my plan. I've built many pods and enclosures in my old day of car audio.

Something like this to run along the sides.   The speakers I have are Coax 2 way so no need for a spot for a separate tweeter.

Wow!!! Nice setup.  Gonna have to say that is way beyond what I was hoping to do.  I was thinking to glass up some pods on backboards and mount them on the sides.  I just couldn't see how to mount the bottom part without tearing up my carpet and glassing them down.  Might be easier to make some enclosures that mount the stringers but then they are going to be in the way of my feet. Was just going to mount the amp up under the deck on the support.

I know I know.  I don't see much activity in this area of the forum because everyone focuses on going fast but I really want some music in my boat.  I purchased one of the JBL Speedo size mount head units and want to mount some speakers up from.  I was thinking to Make some enclosures for the Fosgate M282 speakers I have but I don't know the best way to mouth them.  I've have a lot of history with car audio but not marine.  Anyone have any pictures of speakers mounted just in front of the front seats in along the sides and how they were mounted?  I get that I can screw from the top but how do I support from the bottom. Obviously I can't drill holes through the hull.

Blue wire looks to go to ignition. White wire goes to positive side of the coil.  Are you telling me I need to run the white wire to the ground on the solenoid?

So I'm guessing I need a different starter since I have an ignition ballast?

Excellent.  I use to run the Pertronix in my old VW 009 distributors.  they worked well.  Glad they make one for the Mallory.  I'll pick one up.

So I was out on Elsinore sunday and the engine started popping like crazy.  I cleaned the points and it was ok for a lap but started again.  So over these things.  I have a 460 with a Mallory Dual point Distributor.  What are my options to convert it to pointless? Really don't want to replace the entire dizzy.  Not looking to make more power I just wan the damn thing reliable.

so even if I say an 8 mile circle x2=16 miles. 10 gallon tank = 1.6 mpg.   I guess that is rather normal from what I have read. Well I guess I'm going to have to take it much easier next time out.

Took my boat out to Elsinore yesterday. Found it eats gas like CRAZY!!  Made two laps around the lake and ran one of my tanks dry!!  Yes I was throwing some roots and getting on it but wow!! Anyone know how many miles it is around the lake?
