O'Douls is the best smack talk starter I know of! Roll up with a bottle coozie so it's hidden, start the war, then just stand back and listen. Dump some Kerosene once in awhile as needed! See some of you guys in a couple weeks!

Hi Trevor. I might come out. It has been moved to the 16th I see. I'm supposed to be in Huntington Beach buying a guys garage out of 427 parts on Saturday morning, but I can change that if need be. In any event, the CP won't be there as I have no Jet-A-Way in it right now. It's being worked on. It will be at the Ming race in April, I hope running normally after changing some stuff in the fuel system.

Maybe see you at Elsinore. If not, we'll see you at Pee Cove Fathers Day. I got about 7"-8" of snow outside and the space heater in my office can't keep up. It's cold. Guess I'll go home and watch some TV.

See you guys.

. Let's get this over you have a bad ass boat. I have a bad ass 19 that's no drag boat but happy to run with a few of the 18. We will start a clean slate moving forward. Deal?

I Hope this applies to both of us Jim. You and I are both old enough to know better. I don't want, or like, being on the outs with anyone, or any group and I have no axe to grind with anyone. All the time I've been on these Forums back to 'HotBoat' there is only one guy I've found that I truly dislike. He knows who he is, and the reason why.

As I said, we'll be up at Pee Cove for Father's Day as we were last year. Might be at the TP deal, don't know yet. Whichever and whenever, hope to see you as a friend at that time, as I do with all the rest.  Peace.

Dennis

Nah James. I don't get hostile anymore, and I never said all you build is run of the mill NOS motors. I've seen your work and it comes highly recommended. I'm just entertaining your ANEMIC little friend. You know, the one that mentioned 'building' a Ford'? As you and I have spoken, Fords at this NA level are the same, or, SUPERIOR to Chevrolets(you already know that by looking at the design on paper). On the NOS level, any CRAP PILE can be MADE to run(at least for awhile). That's good for engine builders, as it drives customers to them when that 'WHILE' is up and it needs work. I have no problem with people making money James. Carrry on.   :)

Right James. I forgot he's looking for a RUN OF THE MILL NOS motor, HaHaHa. YOU could probably build a GOOD Ford NA Engine with the RIGHT PARTS, but some of those parts AREN'T easiley obtainable. And NONE of them ARE CHEAP. Good for you! Go ahead and create a Black Hole in his checking account.

'James. can you help me out? That guy called me cute and I don't know what to say'. Did he break out his checkbook for the verbiage also, or is that free?

. Better yet let's build a ford.

Cute Jim. Before you start, you should know it takes MORE than a CHECKBOOK to build a Ford. Always has.   :screwy:

Just sayn'

hahaha.... You guys know I have nothing for you. 420lb and 980hp vs 475lb 1200hp... Even if I were to stick 40s in and actually run some shoe and you guys took out your 6000rpm rev limiter there is still no race. But hey if you guys wanna count boats sure we can do it again.

"You just got BECKY'D"

HAHAHA! Somebody's numbers are a little skewed. The rev limiter is Curt's right foot. Fixing to actually 'run some shoe' ourselves in a couple weeks. You know the bigger the motor, the more water it requires, and we have a 'Garden Hose' right now. That'll change. See you if you get up that way Dennis.

And as far as racing curt, give me and curt a 1000ft race I know I will have no chance. That comment above was a joke. I don't want that post to get outta hand. They are outta my league.

"You just got BECKY'D"

Don't know about all that Dennis. You can run 1,2 or 3 stages to our zero stages. Just make sure Bostick sells you a ScatterSheild Oil Pan, lol. If you're at the races in 2 weeks, stop by and say Hello. It's just shit talk to me. Other's in your group, it seems, take it more to heart. They shouldn't. On any given day, no matter what you have or how much you've spent, someone can show up and crush your dream. That's how it is(as we talked about).
See you guys. It's ALL good, like Blender Over says  :-)

James. That guy was at the SW Regatta last year. He was just at the CP Regatta a couple weeks ago doing that BS both down, AND UP River(kind of dangerous considering the traffic pattern allows for DOWN on the Cali side only). Hi speed both ways.

I remember that LostlakeGatekeeper and I were kind of nervous having the guy running 100 mph 20' away from us and both pushed our boats further inshore, behind some 'Blockers', LOL.

Hope he cools it this year if we show up. Not a good way to be friendly on the River.   :o

Nice meeting and seeing you guys up at Pee Cove on Saturday. Stopped and took a look at Dennis' and Jim's boats on the way back to my bow rider.  Nice rides guys!  Many more were there. I'll bring my CP up over July 4th. Hope to see some of you guys there.  No racing OTHER than maybe a little rocking chair banter, LOL.  See you guiys. Thanks for an enjoyable afternoon.   :)

So much for keeping the details off the net. See ya all there. I will be filming this as it goes down.
Keeping details secret is hard to do. I doubt whether you'll have to hire 3 carney's to sell tickets and provide security. Lol.

I agree 100% James. Speed and Alcohol don't mix well. I would have no problem bringing my Ultra down there, but would really have to think about the CP (I don't have a huge fuel tank for long trips).

And one last thing guys. I didn't say I NEVER race NOS boats or cars. I just have to be in the right MOOD to do it. So Jake, Dennis, James, Lupo and all others. That mood comes and goes. Sometimes it's there the WHOLE weekend, other times not at all. I built the engine to RiverRace, and RiverRace it will.  I'm out working on the NEW hardware setup for 2 Carbs instead of one. See you guys   :-\

Dennis (riverracer)... I notice you always say bring whatever to Lost Lake... Why don't you travel down this way once? Not all of us like to run in shit water... Wait until 1 pm to launch... Spend all day keeping our boats off the rocks and from getting loose in the current... And have to wear steel toe boots to stand on the "sand bar". I mean we don't have a crooked power line to race to... But we manage none the less to pair a boat or two from time to time. Come on down for Power Tour in Yuma... You can wven crash at my pad... See what all the hub-bub is about.

Sent from my iPhone using SoCal Jet Boats

James. Too many Cops down there for my liking. I don't drink(Heart), but I DO like to go very fast. I keep as low a profile as possible. I was the only guy rousted at Aha Quin at the regatta 2 years ago when a Cop wanted to see how 'LOUD' my engine was. OK, so it was as loud as a 747 taking off, that's why I built it.  I don't need that BS, so I'll stay up between Mc Park and Parker Dam till the cops in Yuma realize they're driving business AWAY from local resorts by having the presence they do down there. I'm sure it's nice for you guy's known by the cops, but I have to pass.

Lupo?. You said you'd never tell anyone about the Blue toenail paint  ^-^ Dennis(your name is Dennis, right?). The #realblueboat deal is about something else, not about your boat, which is very nice as far as I can tell in the IG pix I've seen. Hope to see it one day also. If you want to see how it stacks up, bring it to Lost Lake and race the Gatekeeper. Right at 98 + - in 500' or so. Ford powered 19' CP, no power adder. Should be a good test for you with your squeeze if you want to find out. I was at the inagural Southwest regatta last year, don't know if I'll make that again but I'm at LL all summer and up at Pee Cove occasionally visiting if you're ever up that way.

Jimpen. Where do I think all these guys came from???? All over I'd say. But, given that, NOT from The Box Company, NOT from Santa Fe Springs Rd, NOT from Capitol Avenue, NOT from the Airport, Not from Van Nuys Blvd or Whittier Blvd, NOT from Nicholson's shop, NOR Don Cumby's, NOR Dick Landy's. NOT even from Bill Thomas Race Cars in Anahiem. Any problem that you describe is in your head. I race when, where and WHO I want, not when others would like. About the only thing you have right is the fact that I do intend to sit on the beach when I feel like it and RELAX. As far as pants, as most of these guys know, mine are TOO BIG. I'm ready to slim down a little. Have fun with your racing endeavors in any case. See all you guys around maybe this summer. If you stay at your campsite and never travel, you'll never smell the coffee. Ther's a lot of water between Mc Park and the Squaw Dam. Burn some gas this summer.  See ya.  RiverRacer   ;)

Well, you guys can run what you like. NONE of you has any basis of comparison as to what 'street racing' really is. It AIN'T EVEN close to 'Street Outlaws' on TV. I knew Big Willy, Tomika, King Corvette and all the rest of the LA Streeteracers way back when(in the 60's and 70's) and raced with them. Street racing is a give and take. A Fender, a door, the move, the roll etc etc. ALL the shit that Boost told the Street Outlaws not to do on the last episode(I WONDER WHY?????. They might LOSE or something LMAO). It's cool. I don't race NOS machinery. I have my reasons from long ago(when shit blows up next to you & your wheels are totaled). You guys do it your way.

Like I said, if you have Nitrous you should use it against similar equipment. Guys with no nitrous should make up their own minds whether to race engines that can be turned up in a heartbeat, and maybe turn into grenades behind, beside or in front of them. Been there, done that. I'll come watch if this actually takes place. I think it's just keyboards talking for now. We'll be at Lost Lake next weekend and July 4th. Probably visit Big River and Pee Cove over the 4th. We go there to talk and have fun, not to race as the waters to messed up. Hope you guys have fun over the summer.

Well, I don't use Nitrous Oxide other than for Dental work, so I'm sure I'd get CRUSHED. Better for me just to watch and dream. Let me and Turtle know when it goes down. We'll come and watch. The boat will be floating up at Lost Lake.

Hi Guys. Zack and Turtle already raced 4V to 4V at Lost Lake after the CP Regatta 2-3 years ago. I can't rmember who won, but it was a VERY GOOD and VERY QUICK race. See what getting OLD does for you? You become so forgetfull!   ;)

Come down to Lost Lake Sunday after the CP deal. Always a good time! Maybe we'll see some of you over Father's Day or July 4th at Pee Cove.

Lower River / Re: Waterwheel or Aha Quin?

I THINK the Lagoon used to wrap all the way around to the Upper Sandbar and was useable by a jet boat. I haven't seen that in my 9 years, but I've been told that by other guys. Nice boat. CS 19 says it's a real peach. I don't rmember seeing it at LL but maybe this summer. My first ride in a small boat was in a Hondo Flatbottom with a SBC at Lake Isabella vs. a Cole Flat with a BBC. We got beat by a bunch, but a month later I had a Jet Boat. That was long, long ago   :).

Maybe see you over the summer.  Space P-1 on the Point next to the deep water launch.

Water levels vary but there is normally enough to launch and ride around by noon. Wakeboarding is mostly done upriver by the Bridge or downriver below the lower sandbar. Both areas a couple miles away from the Park.
