Take your flag down and paint your house red white and blue with the stripes and stars, then a new roof in a flag shingle pattern,.Bet the HOA and GOOD Neibors would be proud to see that flag hanging from a bunch of welded up drive shafts than to screw with him again. While at it how about a few fox holes along side the road and maybe a old army jeep in the flower bed,and a couple of rusty cannons at the drive. Sounds like a bunch of people that are on a power trip, always got there way,and need something to keep them in the spotlight at all times..Ballon boy, white house crashers ,HOA. All looking for for a spot on the news.Hope the HOA gets the same outcome as the rest.YOU HAVE A GREAT SUPPORT BASE hang in there .

Going to try your method ,hell ,what I'm doing sure as shit not getting any results.
I'll post if I do any good with it.This is my first jet boat and its not going to kick my ass .The damn things going in the water this year if I have to break ice in dec.
My wife is on my ass wanting to go to lake and ride, rather have her riding the boat ,than my ass for sure.

Tried everthing except a chain and my 4x4 to pull it, heat, pullers, more heat new pullers (to replace the ones I broke) .Throwing tools ,kicking the dog ,Yelling at it after smashing my hand ,then drinking a 12 pack of bud and trying to stare if off, never budged.

Jet Pumps / JE BOWLS DIFFERENT
« on: July 22, 2009, 06:36:47 PM »
I have 2 je bowls that are different, 1 has a round plate mounted where the fins are .The other 1 has no plate or holes to mount 1 to. Looks like something added to fill bowl . Any one tell me which 1 would be best to use. Also has anyone ever had a shaft welded and turned back to specs. on the bushing end where they wear.Does any one make a oversize bushing so you can turn down the shaft (like a over size rod or crank bearing) how much wear is to much to run.

Jet Pumps / Re: installing a Berkly 12je pump
« on: July 21, 2009, 02:19:59 PM »
I removed the je from my carlson cvx 20 , it was not epoxied  or ever had been. It had a rubber feeling caulk between the hull and suction housing and it was a pain in the ass to remove. The je I bought from a guy here on  scjb forum was epoxied (shit ,it still had part of the boat on it when it got here ,removed with a skill saw I think and took 4hrs to clean off with assorted air tools).I'm thinking buying a boat with a epoxied je removed from  it would be buying a boat with alot of hull damage to repair.Check your boat and see if the je that came with your boat, came out of your boat. If your hull looks like the pump was removed with a chopping axe,it was epoxied, if it will clean up with some elbow grease and a putty knife it was bolted and caulked. I'm going to use PAR clear sealent to install my je.It will dry clear and will stick to air tho its also hell to remove but tough as hell. My thinking on this is ,put it back the way it came out.

Thanks for the replys on the pump ,found 1 in Ca. .Hope to  get my boat going for next week end. Whats are the pros and cons of changing my boat from points to electronic . I have the 460 1979 cvx20 and HATE points. Any advice why a car system would or would not work . BTW ,after 4 or 5 hours under the boat, that truck ,chain and tree did cross my mind.

Who are you kidding ,removing pump was a breeze.all you need is a couple of week ends,3 cases of bud,a couple of buddys to cheer you on and a bunch of fire ants.(The fire ants are for speed, the bud is for the ant bites, and the buddys are useless) .But I won and pump is out and hull no damaged. Think the stuff holding it in was called "SUPER-PUTTY".

Hi been reading the posts here and looks like a group of guys with enough knowledge on jet drives to write an book or two. (shit maybe you have for all I know). OK heres what I have, thurst bearing complete failure, gone ,shot.ect. shaft moved forward and impell. locked up on wear ring and almost sawed the pump into. went deep enough to cut into hand hole about a inch. now I need a je-A pump or at least a good suction housing  shaft and A -impeller. If you have a extra give me a shout, Thanks
