needs a good look if leaking both as stated....many possibilities...

An carb motor loses 3% power for every 1000'. @ 5300, your 16% under power to start.

That is not a 75mph jet hull with the deep vee, thats ok...

Understand, jets are the most inefficient drive out there...you need a streamline hull and serious power/pump to hit 75+, at sea level...

First boat, enjoy...learn...dont sink in yo much $....then purchase up!!

That boat came with a amc 360 and a panther jet. Same block as a 401, look at the sides of the block - CID is cast into it.
I had a javelin amx with the 360, they were factory balanced and had fair power. Depends what you want to do with the boat but a BBC would be the best swap.

I need to replace my fittings and lines....plastic tubing.....

Question is bleeding/air in system....the change out is a no brainer...need advice on fluid/air bleed if at all......1990 system...never been touched...
